In the recent IIT Entrance exam APand Telangana students got 20000 passed whereas in TN only 3000 students passed, this is due to TN regional parties who wants to please people esp rural, and other sections and put the order scapping entrance exams in engg and medical, this was dangerous move, i do not know how abddul kalamji has sanctioned, this done when he was president, hence in TN students had become lazy, and no studiesness to face entrance exam, and competive exams.
In this way AP and T are best in promoting shaping of children from school, to face exams.
because of this , i do not know all the IT Companies in chennai are dominated by Andhra people, tamilnadu people are nil in IT Segment in chennai.
this is due to caste mined regional parties who are always put agenda for votes, now TN is facing acute shortage of intelligent faces

Design Vs Innovation
by MeetFireWithFire on Nov 27, 2011 03:12 PM

More than the innovation, what matters most is the quality of design. The below are a few companies which had astronomical successes, though they are not the first to launch their products.

1) Apple: They are not the first to introduce digital music player though their iPod revolutionized the music world.

2) Google: They are not first to launch a search engine. After their lanuch, the rest they say his history.

3) Facebook: They are not the first to launch social netwroking either. Now Facebook has become synonymous to social networking.

There is nothing wrong in coping the idea if we could outshine others in better design.

though i appreciate his braveness and his attitude what Vineeth has done is no rocket science. Its not even an original innovation. we Indians have a habit of appreciating even low quality stuff......Opening a webportal for helping students develop skills to gain a job is no eye opener......there are thousands of portals doing the same .....

cant understand how Vineeth is going to make money with his venture.

Anyway good luck to him and im happy for the achievements he has done.

Please understand i am not criticizing him in any way.....my only intention was for people in India is to think OUTSIDE the book.......think something completely NEW and innovative which has never been thought before.....that will bring a great name for yourself and the nation......something like GOOGLE started the concept of search engine (well atleast they pioneered it) or Facebook the concept of social networking........

Something like that......aim for it guys.

This criticism from society is what makes all Indians as donkeys working for the highest bidders....
I agree that we're lacking in science...But if an entrepeneur comes with an idea which can make the lives of middle class better..
For eg-a solar powered AC which uses electricity only during nightime or rainy days...
This is not rocket science..But will save electricity and money in millions of homes
Thats what entrepenuership is about...its not abt inventing the latest tech..but use the existing one to our benefit

well the question is do you really consider LinkedIn, Groupon, Facebook, Twitter, etc as innovations and whether you think if they really are worth the valuations of billions of dollars?

Not Sure but hundreds of search engine existed before Google. Google has excelled not pioneered, May be I am wrong. Facebook again not pioneer in its business but has excelled.
Key is to excell in whatever you do !!!!!
It was a good message from a movie 3 idiots and before that from a Book.
