Stop It!! Don't Vote
by One Liner on Nov 21, 2011 03:14 AM  | Hide replies

I refuse to vote here. I request everyone not to vote. This is sheer arrogance of the rediff writer. They have no business to criticize Class ladies like Kajol or Bips or Madhuri Dixit. In fact I think some jealous ladies who have spent lakhs for makeups and stylists and yet did not succeed beyond writing to rediff are writing this. Otherwise how do you explain people like Mamata who have to be admired for their simplicity even if you dont agree with their policies.

Couple of Mistakes
by Deepanjan Datta on Nov 20, 2011 12:32 AM  | Hide replies

Most of the people on this list are attention-seeking starlets, businesswomen who have enough money to buy the brands but not enough sense to style and put together, or "have-been"s who just are trying to stay relevant. Three choices stick out though:

1. Mamta Bannerjee - may not be many things, but one thing she is - a simple living person. She stays in a house most politicians would cringe at. Sometimes almost to her detriment, and party's embarrassment, she compulsively sides with the poor. Her inclusion here reflects poor taste.
2. Bipasha Basu - really? when she started out, her make-up and clothes were loud. But the lady has been in fab shape since forever now. Her clothes equally accentuate her. You just needed to pick on her and hunted for that ONE pic which might be 'less than perfect?'
3. Madhuri Dixit - again, you seem to be in a 1990 time warp. Madhuri's polka dotted skirt and frumpy westerwear days have been over for 20 yrs now. Wake up! Her hairstyle and outfits ( be it kasta saree, aerobic tights, ghaghra cholis or flowing gowns) pretty much set fashion trends through the 90s. Agreed she isn't quite "Sonam Kapoor" stylish - but in the list for worst dressed?

What about diamond loving Mayawati or Tantrum Thailaivi Jayalalitha or Jumbo Renuka Choudhary? Poor Mamta too never pretended to be a style icon!

by JAYARAMAN Subramanian on Nov 19, 2011 04:50 PM  | Hide replies

Rediff is outright crazy. IN the midst of shameless ladies, why include Didi? she is a simple person who cares for people and not a corrupt politician..The comment was also in extremely bad taste and uncalled for ..pls remove it immediately
