Let Rediff tell us at what cut-off (General , OBC, Sc/ST) these 24 out of 30 have achieved their success. Let me rejoice after knowing that these people have crossed the general category cut-off of around 230 marks. But if they have cleared JEE after the cut-off of only 120-130 marks (SC/ST category), instead of rejoicing I will only lament the sad affairs of our country. But why Rediff has allowed itself to be used as an advertisement to Super30 bussiness venture ( No facts / figures... only hype)

Verma, its not a sane man talking but a frustrated jealous talking, who can't see the good but desperately seeks blemishes in the light of sun. People like you are born negative. Hope you change your attitude.

Ms Murli Devi.... I would not go into the debate of me being born negative or you being positive or super white. I just wanna say that it being a news item, it should also have FACTS.

You are really a brilliant chap in correctly guessing it. Yes, I could not clear II-JEE inspite of scoring so much more than a large number of persons, who cleared it on the basis of abysmally low cut-off provided to SC/ST's.

AK,
I don't know whether you will be happy if you or SC/ST is paid less salary (equal to your cutoff) when the so called educated middle class earns the salary as per his marks..

Obviously u dont deserve to. You cant even understand the simple normalisation one has to do while comparing the 120 scored by a truck driver's son with the 200 scored by someone from an educated middle class family. The former's 120 is, on any day, much better score than the latter's 200
Super 30's co-founder Anand Kumar has been the subject of much criticism in the last few years. Some of his critics in the local media and other not-for-profit organizations based out of Patna allege that Anand has discontinued teaching students for the programme. Instead, he scouts for students who are likely to qualify IIT JEE and pays them money to show them as his students. It was also alleged that Anand went around coaching institutes in New Delhi and Kota to hire students for this purpose. A number of non-Bihari students in his batch of 30 in 2011 lends credence to this claim. Also, the oft-repeated claim of Anand Kumar that he was offered an admission to the prestigious Cambridge University has been contested in the press. An interesting thing to note is that Anand Kumar only has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Magadh University and has never himself been succesful in any competitive examination in India.
Google search for a Business standard story on Anand Kumar that exposes his mis-doings.

yes. Anand kumar's intention may be right but not his claims. There is a lot to ponder over before giving the credit of success of these students to Anand kumar. He is just an average teacher who has received an over hyped publicity.

I don't know how much genuine your take is Anand. But one thing I know for sure, that Super-30 has taken away the sleep on all big coaching institutes like FITJEE and those working as brothel in Kota, minting heavy money from poorest of poor even. These are educaiton mafias, who are in heavy unease due to Super-30 success story as they feel that their business is being affected and if the same model is cloned at large scale( and it is being planned by government), their livelihood will be over. I remember very well that many coaching institutes published the same name as Super-30 as their candidates and later found were thungs. This was the major reason that Super-30 cofounder Abhyanand decided to close super-30 as people like you started talking ill despite of their benevolent efforts. However on request of public, Anand Kumar continued super-30 while Abyanand left. The guys whose names were published by other institutes publicly apologised to Super-30 and told the truth. In fact this year super-30 released the name of successful candidates well before public release, so that no coaching Institute could claim wrongly on names which belonged to super-30. Its easy to talk bad about any one and its tough to credit those who do really Good.

I fully agree with you. Today, education has definitely become a business first, knowledge second; that too with the help of the government. Anand Kumar has really set an example of true love for the country by helping those who deserve it without looking for the business. If the government was really for the people, then it would have honored Anand Kumar by now with some great awards. But, unfortunately that's never going to happen. May God bless Anand Kumar and his team to succeed in their mission.
Dear Dharmpal, Congratulations on your achievement. This is special. May this bring all the changes to your life and to the lives of people who helped you along the way. May you remain absolutely motivated and committed to your causes. May your causes remain always noble, honest and corruption free.
I'd like to cite example of some of my IIT batchmates who tried hard to get into IAS after the engineering and some of them finally did. I was happy for them till I saw them becoming corrupt and favor-seeking to the extent that one of them once showed his id card to a undergarments seller so that he does not have to pay.
Wish you all the success but hope you don't become one of them.
