While congratulating Dr.RVVK on his selection in UPSC,attaining top ranking position and his choice to opt IPS, I endorse fully Mr Vishwanath`s saying that- You never know ,where inspiration comes from . Indeed it`s true.Inspiration sometimes comes from a very ordinary event that occures in one`s life and he decides to achieve that, he had wished for, but mostly it comes from such an event which at one point of time has hurt him ,who then determined to achieve something that particular which had hurt him rather challenged him or any of his family members. I remember well an incident when a minor male servent working in an institution was,in some cultural programme, denied a seat on the good looking sofa chair ,merely because the chairs were arranged for VIPs.The boy felt humiliated and badly insulted . He then only, vowed to have number of sofa pairs in his home. He did study hard ,gained a good degree in education, got an impressive job in central govt. and while hiring a good home in posh colony bought 4 pairs of costly sofas. Strangely enough, he very gently invited the same gentleman who had denied him seat ( who by then had gone vry old and had almost forgotten the incident )to attend some function , at his home. He welcomed the old gentleman saying him - Sir, you please be seated here. This sofa is especially for you. " The gentleman could recollect the incident that had occured a long ago. He smiled and said Ramu, had that incident.....amu replied-Si
IPS over IAS is certainly a foolish decision. Soon he will experience of bossism of IAS people. Dominance of IAS over other services is the greatest malaise of bureaucracy. IAS officers take great efforts in stifling officers of other services, especially IPS, due to which governance suffers.

if he likes IPS, going for IAS is foolish for sure. Lets not compare which one is better. he like IAS. He worked for it. that is the point. I am happy, India get another good IPS.

He put effort and he got through and he has his rights to choe what he wants. In this country, one is not even free to choose what he wants... 'cos there are always a---s who cant even tie their shoes commenting on every one.
Youo are noteven fit to pull a hair from your privates... Nonsense.

On alighter note : IAS cannot arrest IPS officer if at fault. But an IPS has the power to arrest IAS and oher IPS when at fault. Grrrr... Why is my mind working like this today?

A thought process of a person is restricted to what ever the person is capable of "himself". Who reacts first and becoms conscious of others after someone farted in the crowd?

Ganesh p don't be obsessed with UPSC & don't under estimate any one. What rubbish u are talking. If some one cleared UPSC & looting, then it is acceptable to u. There is nothing great in being IAS/IPS. 80% of IAS/IPS are as corrupt as any politician but inferity complex person like u have diff set of standards for them just because they cleared some exam. IAS/IPS officer doesn't deserve any respect if he is corrupt just because he cleared some exam. He should be punished like any politician & desrve the same type of respect in society. Only honest & performing officers should be given credit. No one become super inteeligent by clearing these exams. He also failed in medical as well as dnsitry paper. It doesn't mean that he was not good. what I mean any one can clear any exam depending on his motivation, hard work & luck.

Hehehe ........It wont even happen in your dreams!!! India is too deeply stuck in the quick sand and cant escape.
Congrats dude first. See, we all see movies in varied angles, & to see this movie, get inspired & to achieve so big is truly commendable. It tells one thing, you never know, where ur inspired from, it may be non-sense to some or most of them, but for him, that was his goal. Kudos. Yes, hope he has the same zeal in the force as well & not be one amongst the corrupted ones.
IAS and IPS are the real cancer in our society. They work really hard for the competitive exams only to loot this country along with their politcian. In fact I have several young aspirants and they have clear said that it is for the money. If they really wanted to bring about a change in our society, together they have more power than all politians. They can go on strike and put their demands. Whether its a gent or a lady, the most corrupt people in india are these officers and they have taken oath to uphold on gita/bible/quran and still go aganist it. So may be something to be proud of when a parent says that I son/daughter have passed civils, but what happens next is something to be ashamed. It is only to loot the country. Shameless people.

I congratulate for the hard work, but thats the end of good thing. These aspirants/civil servants if they say that they like the power thats in the all india services, then I can clearly say they are not working for society, cause a good and clear minded person does not say or see it as "POWER" and rather he sees and says it as "necessary tools and guidance" for carrying out actual job/rendering actual service to citizen. Its only in the context of misuse that a candidate/civil servant says "I like the power given to and IAS/all india services cadre". Any country in the world if considered as strong lineage in society building coming from the "SPECIALIST" and the "Generalists" are just treated either equal or a step below. Take example of JAPAN that has raisen from ASHES to the richest country, only cause of the absence of such hierarchy in society and importance for techincal manpower. Same is with EUROPE or even US EXCEPT FOR THE BRITISH. These britishers were the ones who lived on others resources fooling others and reaping benefits on those. they needed such heirarchy. Any technical innovations in the world has been given by the Germans, these innovations have been running the economy, be it AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY or CHEMICAL INDUSTRY. The benefits have been shown asthough the GENERALISTS (like the bureaucrats and the MBA's) have been creating th

It may be true, but the Congress is the actual Cancer that our country is facing today and we as voters are propagating it. Now, who is the real culprit???

Really? How many times have u refuse to pay bribe Dona Paula? And how many times u tried to bribe to get things done ur way?
And after questioning yurself, ask then... Who is spoiling the society? IAS, IPS, politicians.. or the citizens ourselves?
We let a beggar get up, walk, run, attract crowd, win, lead and then shalessly pay bribes until it breaks our neck and then cry that they are bad. Wake up...
I am sure you wont say NO to 1 million paid to u for free.
may be he was inspired with rajini movies.....once he completes his training he will also start to put fire on cigarette in the same manner as rajini does...
I do not want to sound negative.Unfortunately I have seen so many people who have started idealistically as above. But the system and the people who benefit by the system hit them back with a vengeance that these idealistic people have become more corrupt and blood sucking than the regular ones.Only thing is a matter of time. Some people change immediately. Some fight for some time before giving up and becoming corrupt themselves.

No. Not all. Also, we need to accept our shortcomings, then correct and support the ons whoare right and honest. The worst thing to do is to brand a group. If they are at fault, we need to take a percentage of that sin 'cos we dont reallycar unless our back i in heat.
