bloated number of foods
by Seenu Subbu on Jun 22, 2011 12:51 AM  | Hide replies

First you say fruits and nuts, as separate items. And then you expand "walnuts, blueberries" on their own full fledged pages. Please stop crapping over, appreciate all the tips but why bring out stupid numbers like 23 from your rear!

Chia seeds ( Sabz beej ) used in faludas is also a good source of soluble fibre. this has not been mentioned. Most of articles nowadays seem to be ripped off from western media, without taking efforts of localizing them

Eating food that contain Cholestrol will most likely raise your blood cholesterol, what matters is what type of cholesterol and also, how much effective is your liver. If your liver is working well, your body cholesterol will be managed to an extent by your liver functions.

That is actually what I was wondering too. Some articles are framed on western mindset or looks like taken from western sources.Anways, high cholesterol is a big issue in western countries rather than India, because western diet is more meat based

It is a big problem in India too these days because of a lot of bad food habits and lack of exercise. We see people in 30s and 40s having heart attacks these days, cholesterol is a silent killer

One of the foods to which attention is drawn in the Qur'an is the olive. Research in recent years has revealed that the olive is not just a delicious food but also represents an important source of good health. In addition to the olive itself, olive oil is also an important source of nutrition. Attention is drawn to the oil of the olive tree in these terms in the Qur'an

Olive / and it oil are good, but the trick is how we use it. In India, we use it for deep frying, stir frying, and olive is not so good under heat.

its not total cholesterol (ldl hdl) that matters much. hdl is good. if ldl is way too high, then you have to take care seriously. ve to do lipid profile to find ldl and hdl.
