Why so much craze about this bike
by chunjaru on Jun 11, 2011 02:14 PM

Old Model Bullet bikes are selling at such premiums....The waiting period for a new bullet is almost 2 months. I thought since there are limited bikes i would get them cheap or a quick delivery. I havent rode on any foreign bikes but i have rode all Indian bikes and none of them can beat the comfort of riding on a bullet, Just Amazing. The new model which is test drove is even zippier than the old model and has better balance at higher speeds.

BULLET
by Hariharasubramanian Raman on Jun 10, 2011 09:47 PM  | Hide replies

The people who are scary of the size and manliness of the Bullet, scold it. People who are afraid of handling a machine of 180 kilos and who are handling 50 kg bikes are critical of this. People who are fearful of the sizzling characteristic beat of the Bullet are only weak hearted and are frail in nature.
In a place where a brand is extinct within 2 years, Bullet is perenially roaring around for 100 years, which is a testimony for its greatness. A Bullet can be remade, altered, shaped to a new one even after 50 years, giving a challenge to any other brand in the world to emulate it. Owning a Bullet is a pride which no other bikes can give, and only the people who own it knows about. It is a passion for family, a service vehicle for the army, a magnificient two wheeler for the police force and a play child for its owner. For people who looks at it from a distance it is a leviathan, but for riders it is a domestic animal. And it is the safest bike on earth and it never ditches its rider due to skiding or slipping. It is gripping the road like a vacummed-rubber at the same time, running on the road like a panther.Cost wise it is cheaper compared to ostentatious bikes fetching at Rs.2 to 3 lacs.
Above all, a Bullet is forever, it is one of the family members for generation because, once an owner of a Royal Enfield Bullet, he is always an owner of the Bullet. Neither he likes to ride on other bikes nor the bike divorces its companion - either because of accidents or old age.

I agree with you, word for word. I bought an Enfiled Bullet in 1975 for Rs.8,000/-. I have a Honda City car, but ride the Bullet with more pride than the car.

The Bullet is still in excellent condition, has NEVER let me down, and has been with me thorugh rough and the smooth.

A great machine, a greater friend.
