ROYAL ENFILED - BULLET
by Hariharasubramanian Raman on Jun 10, 2011 09:43 PM

The people who are scary of the size and manliness of the Bullet, scold it. People who are afraid of handling a machine of 180 kilos and who are handling 50 kg bikes are critical of this. People who are fearful of the sizzling characteristic beat of the Bullet are only weak hearted and are frail in nature.
In a place where a brand is extinct within 2 years, Bullet is perenially roaring around for 100 years, which is a testimony for its greatness. A Bullet can be remade, altered, shaped to a new one even after 50 years, giving a challenge to any other brand in the world to emulate it. Owning a Bullet is a pride which no other bikes can give, and only the people who own it knows about. It is a passion for family, a service vehicle for the army, a magnificient two wheeler for the police force and a play child for its owner. For people who looks at it from a distance it is a leviathan, but for riders it is a domestic animal. And it is the safest bike on earth and it never ditches its rider due to skiding or slipping. It is gripping the road like a vacummed-rubber at the same time, running on the road like a panther.Cost wise it is cheaper compared to ostentatious bikes fetching at Rs.2 to 3 lacs.
Above all, a Bullet is forever, it is one of the family members for generation because, once an owner of a Royal Enfield Bullet, he is always an owner of the Bullet. Neither he likes to ride on other bikes nor the bike divorces its companion - either because of accidents or old age.

In one day I coverd 535KMs on my Yamaha Rx135. I don;t know why people say Bullet is for long trips.

Also I service my bike for every 5000KMs only.

Its been 10 years with Yamaha RX 135 % speed.

Has RE paid for this advertisment?

This one way fake hype about RE seems to be a paid advertisment and should be called out so as not to misguide people.

Do you think RE requires to pay rediff for this ? you are an absolute m_0_r_0_n. RE never even advertises on a TV. You dont need to advertise the Brand called Bullet.

Well, even after being tuned to Rediff for so many years & knowing fully well that it's a master of paid news makes you ask that question, then you're simply.......... Dickvijay Singh.

Problems a galore with RE
by aditya on Jun 10, 2011 04:45 PM  | Hide replies

Problem 1- Mindset of ppl, my dad says unkay zamaanay may products were better, no matter how much I try to convince him, he will not understand. Look closely, were they better? Is Ambassador better than Swift? Is Telegram better than Mobile? Is Railway booking better than computerized booking done now a days. Well, similarly RE is not better than much advanced technology being used now a days. But the mindset is being carried on and on and on .. and brainwashed to future generations.
Problem 2- Classic 500 has wobbling problems, take bike to speed of around 100kmph and the bike starts serious wobbling. As per company mechanic "Sir the new bike is lighter, has smaller tyres and so tends to leave ground on high speeds if you drive solo."
Problem 3- Bullet is a cruiser, take it @speed of 80 kmph over distance of around 150km non-stop, either cylinder piston kit will give way, engine seize or some other shit is bound to happen".
Problem 4- Machismo 500cc Silencer fell(broken from frame) 6times in a span of 4months and 3000km. Reason as per mechanic "Sir the bike vibrates a lot so these problems occur"
Problem 5- Oil leak ....
I can go on and on and on contact adityarazdan@gmail.com
Apart from Sunday janta (ppl who hv 2cars parked in garage and take bike out for tashan on Sunday) ppl who drive a bullet for 1000km a month will never tell you it is a good bike.

but for short distances u can ride on 120kmph it wotn generlly make any problem...

Dude i have a 5S Electra. Have had it for last 5 years. I have been to Ladakh and covered 80% of Himachal, including some very inaccessible areas. had to change battery once (after running it for three years). Havent changed from shock absorbers even once. My bike is first kick start even today.

Only those who dont know how to ride will crib about RE bikes.

Though I agree that there are some gliches which need to be worked out, but atleast dont make it sound like its a piece of garbage.

Why do you think its sale is increasing day by day EVEN WHEN THERE IS MINIMUM ADS IN THE MEDIA?? Its all because of the word of mouth publicity.

On my ladakh trip, i was accompanied by a friend on Karizma. At higher altitudes, i ha to slow down so that he could keep up with me. This is what is the quality of the engine. That its performance doesnt get affected even in most extreme riding conditions.

People with Balls cover Ladakh on 100 cc bikes you make it sound as if Bullet is the ONLY bike that can go to Ladakh.
Those who know about bikes say it in your face that it is nothing but Royal Bullshit.
If you agree that it is full of glitches than stand up and call a spade a spade. Stop saying if you stand on one leg and tilt 23.5degrees and than drive the bike with one hand in your nose and other up your ass than the bike will drive in the best possible way.
Regarding sales, look closely, there is a clientale that Rs1lakh segment bike caters too and there Bullet is doing a lot of advertising. Honda 250 CBR, that is not giving Ads and is overbooked. Yamaha R15 that has minimum Ads.
Your friend is a fool. It is always about the ride and not about the Rider. He could not keep up with you it's his personal way of driving. I once bet the shit out of a Karizma driving by 2stroke Bajaj Chetak. So? should we start buying scooters now? Classic 500 is full of wobbling issues. My friend purchased it and met with an accident due to it's wobble problem, NCR head Jagdish kept on lingering it till he could say "Sit it is out of warranty now we cant do much" Later found out on other forums that there is a seroius problem with Classic 500.
The bike is not a sports bike, cruise on it @80-90kmph for 100 odd kms and it's engine will seize so what do i do with a 350-500cc engine? Plough the field with it? Bike is Royal Bullshit.

i pity guys like aditya who dont know about bikes . they drive a 100 cc bike and think they are riding a great bike. the bullet is exported to many countries and has a longer waiting list in india and abroad than most production bikes.foreigners visit india and rent a bullet to go around the country. they dont rent yamahas and hondas.

Foreigners rent bullet coz they find its resemblance to a Harley, they dont drive it daily to their workplace. Just a trip to Ladakh and throw it for others. Note the point RENT. PPL who drive it daily knw how it fares ...

Do ppl drive Ambassador in times of Swift? Reason better Engines better service and less maintenance. If you have a good mind and Rs. 1lakh go for Yamaha R15 or Honda 250CBR. Serious issues with Bullet, ppl are dissatisfied with it. Dont go with the hype, I went with it and am sufferring. User your brains and make a well informed choice.
