HEALTH BEGINS FROM HOME!!!
by varghese on Aug 19, 2011 09:25 AM

Health is wealth but why do Majority of Indians remain reservoirs of Disease's? the following are the reasons:-

Marriage: Most of Indians are inbred..they marry within the family so we see deadly diseases passing from generations to generation's..physically mentally handicapped or diabetic..

Food Habits: Most Indians are malnourished.rest are obese .they live on Tea/Paan coupled with Beedi, Gutka or cigarettes..they are infectious and infected with TB Flue or deadly combination of both.less said about Alochol.drugs and the kind..The rest obese live on the local Sweet Shops or dirty Hotels nearby Hogging dirty adulterated sweets which are made using industrial Ghee,Milk, kova or spoiled aromatic Food stuffs.most of the food we get to eat are spoilt, expired stuff loaded with deadly scents, toxic chemicals and colors..all recycled dangerous food.

Living Style: Most Indians live in filthy surroundings with no access to safe drinking water or safe Public Urinals or Safe unadulterated Food..the air that we breathe is filled with Toxic chemicals,dust..the ground water and piped drinking water is found to have sewerage..less said about the content of E.coli in our drinking water..

Standards: The nation has no health standards for Food,Drugs, quality of air, surroundings, ethics, corruption,
accountability, public awareness, everything here is mired in corrupt practices..fake medicines, industrially produced dangerous food, dirty filthy hotels selling diseases in whole sale..

Check out the List of corrupt officers in india Bribe Tracker to Expose the corrupt
We all have paid bribe some time or the other because we were left with no other choice. Many people tend to put blame on bribe givers for the corruption but they don't realize that no body happily bribes some one. Here is an opportunity to punish those who forced us to become corrupt and become a party to this corruption.

Please share your bribe experience at sites dot google dot com slash site slash letstrackbribes , short URL is goo. gl/cymBM (remove space between . and gl) for all to understand the circumstances under which you were forced to bribe some one. While you are at it, expose the corrupt officer and departments so that others dealing with those offices and officers knows well in advance what to expect. You can also bing "Bribe Tracker to Expose the corrupt" to reach this site. Its the first site in bing result.
Please share with all and list as many corrupt people as possible.

Pranayama is the best
by sixsigma on Jul 26, 2011 05:01 PM  | Hide replies

I stay outside home and doesnt get good food to it regularly. It is more of hotel food. I started doing pranayama and non stop did it for 10 months and I could see a lot of changes in myself including the state of mind. My haemoglobin count was 16 which I heard is very good.

My experience on steps to maintain good health.
1. Start your day with Pranayama and Suryanamaskaara ( Internal and external )
2. Drink Lauki juice and can have light flakes, Raagi powder, Sprouts for breakfast.
3. Lunch in between 12.30 and 1 which can be salad with 2 or 3 chapatis and rice
4. Evening 4, try to have sugarcane juice or fruit salad.
5. Light dinner at 8 PM or 8.30 PM.
6. Meditate for 15 minutes atleast best during mornings or atleast in the evening.

See the change and be the change

Pranayam is the best -
by RK on Jul 26, 2011 04:13 PM

Try doing a bit of breathing exercises. These small exercise help to restore body's systemic balance and you are immensely benefitted. One small example, if you have a headache, close your eyes and try deep breathing for 5-10 minutes, you will certainly see the difference for yourself. And for body aches, there are a number of yoga positions when performed in combination with pranayam, give instant relief.

But ONLY IF YOU DO; YOU GET THE RELIEF.

A hole in my ear drum just vanished with two months Anulom-Vilom pranayam practice. Doctors had advised surgery for this.

Not for nothing Baba Ramdev has millions of followers.

Stop the consumerist lifestyle
by Raj on Jul 26, 2011 10:12 AM

The leading cause of disease is our Consumerist lifestyle - we want more of everything.

And when we want more, we want it quickly. Enter fast food, Britannia, Parle, Coke, Uncle Chips, Sunfeast, Dominos, etc. Once in a while these foods do little harm, but most of us have these foods (or a combination thereof) at least 3 times a week - and that is an isult to the human body.

The body requires proper nutrition and recovery. Just as you would not dump garbage into your fuel tank, you shouldn't dump garbage and unhealthy foods into the human body. Cakes, pizzas, biscuits, colas - the worst form of foods - they have zero nutrition (in spite of what the labels tell you) and they actually destroy the human body and throw it out of balance.

Disease is nothing but the body going out of balance. The body is constantly fighting to prevent disease, but we're not helping it by providing a diet rich in vegetables, eggs, and other healthy foods that nature has provided.

If it's man made, try and avoid it. It's your body - it's a SYSTEM and the SYSTEM WILL FAIL if you abuse it. Once it fails, it will take the joy out of living. And for what? Colas, biscuits and cakes?

Drop the consumerist attitude. With the money you save in 3 months, you can actually take a trip abroad. Malaysia will do more good to your life than Britannia. And you will have good memories that last a lifetime.

Health and medical care
by jayaram putisari on Jul 26, 2011 02:15 AM

Ill health is not a crime. Anybody can get decease. Those who suffer from chronic or critical illness can burden themselves and their families for life-long. We have to make medical insurance mandatory and very affordable and if necessary it should be subsidised by the government. Ofcourse it is a long process but we should aim to achieve affordable quality medical care for all.

Yoga works
by Remani Kumar on Jul 25, 2011 09:57 PM

I was a software engineer, diagnised for border line diabetic / high BP and hypo thyroid. When my Dr. prescribed a barrage of pills, I took a deep look at current sedenentary lifestyle and switched to a better lifestyle.

a) Started (Bikram) Yoga, 5 - 6 days a week, 90 minutes a day.
b) Cut down the eating portions
c) limited alchohol in take to no more than 2 pegs of Vodka OR two glasses of RedWine once OR twice a week.
d) Once a month do the body cleansing with Ayurveda
e) Eating outside was reduced to once OR twice in month.

In 6 months, my diabetis receded, no HBP and Thyroid receded. No more darn pills. My tryglyceroids / cholesterol went way too low, My Dr. advised its ok to eat fat stuff. But I remained it in moderation.

I have lost 8 KGs weight, my waist got trimmed.

Many Desi friends were surprised and when I tell them Bikram Yoga they tell, it is either expensive OR How we can do it at home.

My take is, It is your life, you CHOOSE whether to do it OR not, no need to give a reasoning on why one is unable to do something.

Some question / argue whether yoga works OR not, after showing my blood results some will accept that yoga works and some still give reasons why they are unable to do it.

Its your life, you decide.

If you get a chance, go to bikram yoga website and read in testimonial section how a westerner who practiced yoga for solong controlled his diabetis.

Unfortunately we look for non-indians to endorse our Yoga to believe.
