Sir, I want to ask you one question - People say that one does not need MBA to be a good manager. Based on your experience, can you tell us if this is true?

MBA or any other professional Education is a way to rip you of any money that your Parents pay for you or You get out of pocket expenses or what you earned and then spendrest of your life earning it back by ripping others off.

In todays world, because of intense competition and supply/demand gap, resumes are filtered based on qualifications. If you dont have an MBA and there are ten other applicants with MBA, chances are your resume wont even get shortlisted. This is the first place where an MBA would help. Secondly, you do learn some stuff while doing MBA. This can help in the interview. However, once your get the job, the MBA may not help as much (it could help by instilling confidence in you, which is required for a good leader/manager).
Non-MBAs do become managers too, but they usually move up the totem pole, starting at lower positions.
And ofcourse, there are many other factors (including, unfortunately - your race, region, color, caste, sex, etc) which can affect your growth.
In short, there is no simple answer to your question.

There are hundreds of manager, dgms, gms and cmds who have worked as manager without any degree AND run compony for 70 years and HOW.
It is valid for all, the struggle of life makes a man experienced but irony is that when man become wise he has got no time to enjoy the fruit for himself but can share with others and others most of the time ignore him unless he is famous , rich otherwise there is no difference between this driver and retiring Ratan Tata whom all will listen
