In USA you can work for 29 months after studying and completing your degree / qualification under the student visa. This period is called OPT ie On Practical Training. Thereafter you can get a job under H1B Visa. Students get a recogised degree, lead a very happy life and treated well in USA. After Margaret Thatcher became PM in UK, she abolished all benefits to the Indian students and made life difficult.

Global employability
by basappa2003@rediffmail.com on Jan 25, 2011 11:25 AM

Why do we always think of studying abroad and settling there…..? I think education, especially higher education should be about `Global Employability’. It should enable you to work anywhere .

I did my masters in games programming from a UK University (not listed above) and now I am working at California, US. It was a great learning opportunity at UK. The teaching methodology was contemporary and focus was always on INNOVATION. The experience of being in a multicultural setup was highly useful.

Please do not get misled. Do your own research. Don’t follow the crowd and go for just getting an MBA degree. There are many innovative courses out there. As per me UK ROCKS….!!!!

Hey guys, whenever you think about stydying abroad why do you always think about finding a job there and settling there......?

In the current times with education specially the higher education you should aim to become a GLOBAL CITIZEN who can work anywhere in the world.

I did my master programs in games programming from a UK Univ- Sheffield Hallam. I found it to be a great learning experience, contemporary methodologies and focus on innovative practices. I am currently working in California, US. The exposure which I gained at UK has been of great help to me.

So, do not operate with a closed mind...explore and learn. There are many innovative courses out there. Do your research well. Do not take a short cut by just going by AGENT advice.

Best wishes....UK ROCKS !!!
