One side you say marriage before 18 years is illegal...but non-penetrative sexually act is legal from 12 years. Anyone having the emotional intelligence will understand that there is a thin line between penetrative/non-penetrative sex...and more often than not it is crossed. It means you are opening the backdoor for sex at 12 years..closing the legal door called marriage till 18 years.Is it not right time to think laterally, and in a right way and lower age of marriage (which will allow responsible sex, a win-win for both and girl ) strictly punish any sexual act outside marriage. That way not only the boy/girl even the families breathe easy. This prevents emotional turmoil in the big way.
Well sex is no childs game, wehen we have 18yrs as voting rights to select rogues and thieves as our law makers. How can a small child age know what is penetrative or non-penetrative sex. Ridiculous this Govt is going mad.
What is the use of right to eat,right to have good home,right to have wife,right to have sex, right to have ration 3o kg food???all non sense laws by babus and politicians,for publicity of nonses,Right of non sense,that will not give poor ,daily roti to eat,reduce poulation first,right to have living rights to other by reducing human over weight population on eart,Right to live for all plants and other animal species on this mother eart is now necessary.
The irony of the bill is the young boys and girls upto the age of 12 are supposed to know the law first about the implications of violating this law.
That is why Charles Dickens in Oliver Twist, w made his character Bumble say, when the judge says that the law supposes that wives work under the instructions of husbands
