Hi Apurva,

I wanted to buy a t-shirt but the problem is the last time I read an inspiring article from TOI and ordered one online , I found its completely waste of money. The entrepreneur was innovative in certain sense that he was asking designs in a online contest and and he was putting(after shortlist) them for online voting whichever is voted the best , he was paying certain amount to them. The idea was great but I don't find their product nether cost-effective nor great looking !!

some ideas may sound too good to be true... like NDTV's Greenathon/ RCB's Go Green! They are total crap... they are no different from bollywood movie promotions.

this particular tshirt idea is nevertheless a honest effort. whether it works or not, this guy deserves appreciation. Hope he doesn't take hypocrisy to a new level to sustain his business.

Hi Subhra

I hope you don't let one bad experience taint the entire market.

One of our goals with my company is that the product (the t-shirt, that is) has to be able to sell on its own merit! So we really pay attention to the quality, the fit, the look, etc. Our customers simply LOVE our t-shirts!
If you're interested in buying one, you can get one on our website. And if you don't like it, we will happily take it back and return your money. No worries:)

Cheers,
Apurva

It is becoming a fashion statement now a days to say that I am working in socio-economic enterpreneurship, organic farming, go green inititatives, carbon credit business ventures, etc.. So one more here on similar line!!

Thanks Mang.

The hope is that more and more folks do get in to make SOME social or environmental impact in whatever way they can. If it's a fashion statement, they'll just feel better about it:)

Making my livelihood through this venture allows me to do it full time and I'm happy about that.

Do let us know if you have any suggestions for us.
Cheers.

start wearing scoured cotton clothing or go back to leaves. Even white tshirts with optical brighteners generate pollution. if you talk about alternate ways, you're no different from the hypocrisy of the west.

Hi Arun

Thanks for your feedback. I'm as skeptical as anyone else when it comes to all the "certified organic" products in the market. And you're right, there is an industry out there where you can just "buy" such certifications.

That's the reason why we spend a lot of time finding and meeting the right folks to work with. As you can see from the article, we are very open about our supply chain. The hope is to be as honest and transparent as we can be so that our customers can know EXACTLY where the product they are buying came from.

In the end, we won't be able to convince everyone but we hope that enough people understand our real motives and support us. Would be a very sad day if we have to shut down our shop because we really are trying to make a difference to people's lives.

Happy to talk to you personally if it helps.
My phone number is on our website.

And thanks again for giving us your feedback and the chance to have a dialogue with you.

Cheers,
Apurva

I like it! And everybody is right to their way. Someone may say its a marketing funda, or sustainable and social enterprise or whatsoever...!!!

As a responsible humanbeing on earth when we understand the real facts/problems, we need to work on it positively.

Using fertilizer, pesticide, hybrids/Bt was an initiation towards green revolution; however, its exagerated use has led many issues on sustainability. Focus, focus where we went wrong. Its time to make farmers (society in general) understand about their current package of practices, how it is going to be benefit/harm in long run, as s(he) needs to keep something good for his/her generations to come. Need to update on sustainable practices with real data on C:B. All are happy and are making enough out of this. But is really farmers get adequate / right percentage of premium? Or is it just with few(s) hand? By paying premium to our raw material supplier, it would be better if one keep proper check on its flow to the ground.

Nice initiative...
Not only you, many organizations are there
And, Keep it up!

Know what exactly is happening at each stage of the manufacturing process before lecturing ideals. Once, you know it and still want to wear colored tshirts, better outsource it to Africa or Antartica.

Thanks Pravin - appreciate your thoughts.
The goal is indeed to create consumer awareness and increase demand for such products. We can't do it alone as a single company, it's the citizens who have to ask for it and that will make more brands enter the fray.
