I am laughing all the way reading what a fool has penned down here. My dear, you forgot to mention that the interviwer see only your comfort level when he asks any question and even if you are 50% correct answering them he is happy. He is not expecting 100% correct answer unless he is talking to a very highly experienced or bright student. Its all about how confident you are and how you represent yourself to the situation... baaki sab bakwas.... chill man.....

It totally depends for the role I am taking the guy for. I am essentially looking for his skills and what he brings to the company and not his attire, unless it is a sales post.

When i was in college...we used to shudder thinkin of job interviews..our seniors used to conduct mock interviews and gave numerous tips..
But after 4 yrs of slogging...it's now my choice to decide d interview..I once went to an interview with jean and t shirt as i need to leave to my hometown afterwards.. I even ate d biscuits they offered and negiotiated my salary based on what they offered to my frnd.. But still I got the offer letter because I was strong in my fundamental knowledge and was precise and very confident while answering...

After several years on the job and learning experience along with some thing to show about your capability and achievements, the attire may not matter. But that is not true for a fresher as every aspect of his projection of his image matters.
