Id like to know what the AHmed Shah's and other Delihiites watching girls get teased do about it instead of gaping at a girl in distress. It takes one to stand up to any kind of bad behaviour. and yes, any crime needs to be dealt with seriously-rape and eve teasing included. whatever the city or country you're in. But Delhi still has so much more charadcter and flavor and things to do than other metros I have been in. the history and culture that it has been exposed to over centuries of invasions and hence intermingling of ideas and people gives it a distinct flavor that the other metros dont have.

and i do hope your comment is a general comment on an incident in Delhi otherwise it would be libelous.
surprising that there is no proper arrangemet for tourists to sit and relax, not eatbles available except those bhelpuri panipuri. no lawns, all mud very bad taste and poor maintenance.
is a nightmare. There is a rape and murder everyday in every corner. If you are a girl forget your safety before coming to Delhi. You cannot find a house for rent anywhere in Delhi on your own. All rented houses are in the hands of goons named accommodation consultants. They charge anywhere between one month and three month rent as commission. The water you get in taps is not safe for drinking. Come summer, chikun gunya is out with all the mosquitoes. Come winter, you can see people dying in cold without any shelter. You may have to pay in tens of thousands if you want your child to be put in a average level decent school and pay a thousand for transportation each month for the child. Once you are in road, you never know when you would reach your destination, if at all you reach, thanks to the road congestion.

Try UP cities, better than US cities. Mayawathi Sir has built world class infrastructure and zero power cuts zones. Water supplies is gangajal no less
I have lived in Delhi for a long long time. It just does not hold a candle to Mumbai and Bangalore. Delhi is a typical north Indian, semi cultured, filthy, arrogant place. People are unhelpful and rude. It is not a cosmopolitan place, it is a place full of UPites, Biharis, Punjabis. Mumbai and Bangalore are two truly cosmopolitan cities in India. Delhi is dead at night, and very unsafe for women. A woman is safe at 2 am in MUmbai and women dont think twice before going out and travelling alone home at 2 or 3 in the morning in Mumbai. A woman doing the same in Delhi would basically be writing her own death sentence...or is sure to be molested or raped.
