My unforgettable Kar va Chauth.
by Saraswat on Oct 25, 2010 03:25 PM

I remember one Karva Chauth specially. I was tiny on that day and as soon as the fsting started, my mother got ill. Immediately my father took up her fasting. He to make her free feeling removed her neck chain and wore him self caring my mother in a very touching way. By the time of late night he was still trying to comfort my mother, while himself not very easy in has fastng. The scene still before my eyes had given the sense of vastness of the occasion.

Every one other then a down right stupid knows it does not work.
but it brings some lively hood and glamour to the Indian society who do celebrate Karva Chauth.
Shopekeepers and temples make few coin few hungry get fed, and that is good enough a reason to celebrate.
Just think if it actually worked there will be no sick in hospital(married ones)and the world would be celebrating and not just India.
IT HAS BECOME A COMMERCIALISED CULT SO JUST ENJOY IT.

Don't spoil our culture.Learn to respect men coz they are superior. They will protect you in thsi lawless land.

No matter how much women progress they are likely to be touched inappropriately by lecherous men in the street and elsewhere.Who will protect you women ?

Why dont u men make this a lawfull land, instead of making women beleive in God rather than their husbands or brothers.

Lady moon moon,
God is a vague concept, created to minimize crime rates in the name of fear of God.
Again you are depending on men to make it a lawful land,if you women are equal then you should yourselves go ahead and hit the lecherous men in buses and trains. You should be able to protect yourslef from men without the help of men,if you feel that you are equal to men.If you can't better shut up and worship men so you are not the target of crimes/misbehaviour.
