US higher education is better than India's..India only mass produces engineers, doctors and MBAs without quality..no wonder, IITs, IIMs often rank low on global level..there is hardly any research going on in India's higher education institutes

Only for kids with big $
by Atul Narain on Oct 09, 2010 05:38 PM

I guess this idea is good for rich kids who dont actually wanna go abroad just to collect a foreign degree and come back to run the family business. The fees as Mr Sibal said, will be the same i.e. out of reach for most Indians. But hopefully the presence of foreign univs will influence Indian institutions to become better.

by STA BHATT on Oct 09, 2010 11:26 AM

This guy ( Kapil Sibal) will do anything to imitate US . Why not imitate the right things? Why not have a 2 term maximum for the highest post in the country, Mr. Sibal?

Oh, did I hear you say, that's bad for the Gandhhii family?

Kapil Sibbal - Another Kalmadi
by Abhijit on Oct 09, 2010 09:30 AM

Can somebody smell a conspiracy here?
Another chance of getting bribes in dollars.

US education system - School education free for all.
Higher Education - 50 Lac to 1 Crore to get a degree. (not only for medical or engg, for Arts & Commerece also).

Indian education even though has its own problems, makes a person therotically sound.

US education, very less teaching, more practicles. US people can talk for hours without break, but can not solve simple mathematics.

What Kapil Sibbal tries to achieve? Open doors for US universities & let increase cost of higher education in India.
50% People in US do not need higher education, they can spend the life by working at Subway or Taco or Target.
India can not afford it.

push the button...
vehicle may start.

on left side clutch , then brake , then acclerator.

then press a clutch and push that gear rod front twice...

"ok bell rang"

ok children write this hundred times ... in one year we r going to learn to drive.

THIS IS INDIAN STYLE OF EDUCATION.

MORE THEORY - LESS PRATICAL ?
