If women are sincere about equality let them qualify in the army on the same parameters as the men. 03)Now you have a new law for filing false cases in the name of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ACT but no law against nagging housewives who ill treat their older parents-in-law. 04)You have a NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR WOMEN and a plethora of women's organisations.You even have a ministry for animals but not a single organisation to protect menfrom

You are probably only referring to middle class women. Look at the Construction industry. Huge number of labourers are women. Look at the unorganised and small scale industry, large number of women are employed and they do heavy work but even get paid less. Moreover they need to look after childeren and household too. Life is a hell for poor women my friend.
Above article may be real to some extent. Women use their gender as weapon because men tries to behave like a gentleman. Gentleman blame yourself that you allow that weapon to be used against you. While you try to be gentleman, women think that you helped her only because she is a lady.
I see alot of women bashing going on here.Maybe a part of it is true.You all do.Well, If we start talking about men, the list will go on.Tell me something How many of you do not take the advantages when you have a position of advantage.Sometimes women do it too...and just because she does ,you think she should not ask for treatment of equality? The problem with a lot of men(i do not know if they realise it),they say they like independent women....but what they actually mean is they want a woman who is financilally independent...not in totality.How reasonable is it to expect some one to be financially independent, but be dumb enuff not to know what to do with the money you make.I have seen so many men who totally manage their wife's paycheck's and take decisions on investments.Not that she cannot do it....sometimes she let him take control. We put up a great deal with Men, sometimes even you guys have to put up with women....do not cry like its a one track thing.

You are frustrated with your husband. Tell me one thing how much percentage of woman want to stay with a partner who is unsucessful despite being successful ? How many man's falsely accuse their wife for some crime what she didn't do ? How many woman's like woman ? Problem with woman is they hate woman very much be it saas or bahu.

Shashi Shekhar: I am not married.It proves that you can think anything you want without knowing the truth.I know a lot of women who stayed back with men who were much inferior to them,women do a lot of things to save marriage.I 've always had more women friends than Men.Women do like women...appreciate them .Tell me how many Men can take it if his wife praises some one else? Women hate other women only in certain situations which can be applied to Men...i am not the one who is frustrated.....look at your own comment and think about how you sounded.

If you are not married then get married to know the man better.You are making stories by listening one side of your female friends stories. It is true that woman tries to save marriage so do man. Tell me one thing will you marry a guy who is less than you in all respect. NEVER. Woman appreciate woman in front of them only. I have lot many female friends and I have seen them badmouthing for them behind them its 99% and yes its all so called elite class woman. The kind of thinking you have for man will make your life difficult after marriage. Remember one thing nature has made man more powerful by giving them more body strength.And power deserves respect.

yes sangeetha, i dont understand this...i feel women not being able to drive is some urban legend.I used to drive in india and now international.even here i see only mom's driving their kids home to school and any classes....really women here spend half of their life chauffeuring.

Shashi Shekhar, you missed my point completely. I have pointed to the comment about parking because that shows the article is a copy of western media article. In the western countries where every person has to drive a car and cars can be parked only in parking lots and the norm is 45 degrees inclined parallel parking, there is an ongoing debate that women do not park well. Wellknown authors Allan and Barbara Pease claims this is because 45 degrees inclined parallel parking was designed for the male brain and it is not easy for women to achieve that. I dont personally agree with that and I think women's poor parking skills are just overhyped as women are more noticable. However my point is that this is not quite relevant in our country where only a small percentage of people have cars, and only an even smaller percentage of women have cars, and the norm is to park on roadside. In the few parking lots, mostly there are attendants to help parking. Poor parking skills are hardly an issue here, rather where you park is more important as people park without a care for the other people. Have you ever heard a man or woman in our country accept that they have poor parking skills ? So where is the question of a woman blaming it on being a woman ?
I dont have anything against men. I am not even a feminist. I am against the meaningless articles and the stereo types rediff copies from western media.

the problem with independence means i do what i want to do. so in a family if husband and wife does two different things then family goes for a six, thats why we have invented bharatiya nari portrayed them in lot of films so that you can do all the sacrifice and we can enjoy ourselves. inspite of all these conditioning you seem to be thinking. if you can think what the hell r you doing in rediff calumns

There was one Malu I know from my childhood... She would take out things from her nose with the help of her fingers and then she would put those things in her mouth and swallow...

they show pressure of work at home..looking after kids and home works.. they complain bak pain 5 days a week,but when it comes to husband..they cannot see the tiredness of 11-12 hours work which husband faces at office.
