Guys, If somebody thinks your boss is the ideal person and he is the gem of all and he seems to be very good with you. Then it means its not the boss who is good , its you . Only 10% of the bosses may be genuine. Other 90% are hiding their face behind a mask. Just resign and his mask will tear off and you can see the real face of 90% of the bosses. Trust me , I speak out of my experience. How good you are , how good he is at you will all come to an end when you decide to pursue an opportunity of your interest , be it for technical of financial reasons.
Long serving bosses are always taken care by the organisation due to certain complusions irrespective of their credentials, capabilities, worthyness. Problmes are everywhere. long serving bosses are given better opportunities without scutinizing their capabilities and credentials to handle that job and then remain helpless for not able to correct the mistake. Many a time they are more harmful for the job they are handling than their contribution. Only well experienced, qualified for the business requirement management does not encouroge such bosses.
Some one said love your work not your Boss but in my opinion,despite your work performance,always try to satisfy your Boss's high ego, just by appreciting any thing u see attractive,affectionately.Also by expertising your work assigned, if you prove that you the only best performer, you will be appreciated by all. Beware: Always careful that the credit of your performance is not shifted to other employee.If it happens, try what that emplouee is doing to snatch piece of chiken from your mouth thru your boss. The most important thing is in working life is, acquire expertise and company's banner profit and shift to other company with in a reasonable.This is necessary because, if u are a good performer but your loyalty to your company, takes you as granted.The best example is that the expert personnels who have passed good time in their company, most often gets behind, than the new comers,with more new innovative techniques,ideas and enthusiasm.As a result, the old employees either have to earn new work culture, latest developments and apply to contribute their best.
Love ur job not ur boss. In corporates it is all a team work. If ur boss tries to b individualistic, then it is high time that one should look for a better employer.
Otherwise, unnecessary frictions will only lead to bad atmosphere in the work place, which i think is also not good for the organaisation.
Running a Corporate business in India is bound to be a Politico-Bureaucratic palm-greasing exercise and can only be run by people who get used to it and adjust accordingly. Hence exploitation is a natural-side-effect and looting employees honesty is part of business only. Most corporates in India are absolutely corrupt to the core because then only one can run business in India due to Political-RedTape Mafiosi. You make their Balck2white and run a business only thus possible. So in the casualty list they must be the people who work there. Only idiots who can exploit others survive.
