by ashish kumar on Nov 22, 2010 09:24 AM

We should not press our children for academic excellence
by himanshu saini on Nov 21, 2010 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

Now a days all the parents are in the race of promoting their children as an academic stars by securing more than 90% in the exams and clearing the entrance examinations for Engineering and Medical later on .
But what is the outcome and objective of this ..........only to get a good job, a descent earning so that one can live his life with all the materials required and luxuries desired.
But nobody has noticed that in this process they have killed someone that is actually living inside their children is and he is their intellectual mind ...........that has not got a moment even to grow.
Innovations can not come out of the academics ....no engineer or doctors has innovated anything........innovations has been done by the children those who were average or even less than that in their studies while in school........because they have given space to grow their intellectual mind..............every parent should learn that life is not being treated as race for being a highly qualified or successful later on but rather it should be lived as passion for innovation and excellence

The pressure on children to score more marks will vanish once th caste based reservation system vanishes from all our education intitutions... Childnre have to score unrealistic high marks.. to get a seat based on merit.. if thye score 10 marks lesser they will be pushed down by thousands of places because of caste.. I urge the President Abdul Kalam (For me he is still the President of India.. and not the creep sitting in Rashtrapathi Bhavan)... to abolish caste based educational evaluation!
