Every one joins a company but leaves the manager not the compnay,this is universal truth. Before making a person manager check his educataional and proffessional background. If you make a SSC pass project manager just because he belongs to certain state or he is working in wipro since last many yrs then no good quality people will work in your company and u will find only duffers in wipro.

Your view is wrong. Wipro is not a govt company to recruit 10 pass, 2 pass. Most of the managers are well qualified and rich expereince. HR is very particular on their selection process. 1000% no doubts on managers education background process in wipro as well as in infosys. But main drawback in wipro is "politics". u have to decide u shd be away from politics or within the politics in wipro. based on that u future in wipro will be good.

Where is no politics...Tell one good company name....I worked in both the environments in 4-5 company...Everywhere its same either Indian MNC or Foreign MNC. You cannot change people mantelity...

Prasad, actually speaking nowadays no 1 willing to join in wipro. if u see the quaterly profit announcement in wipro they say like 5,233 new headcount joined but how many people left on that quater wount mention bcous it will be double or triple the headcount of 5,233 (example figure)
I do not know about other cities but in hyderabad this is how you do it step by step:
Visit a consultant in the Ameerpet area. Give them your resume Discuss a fee (usually 2 month salary) The consultant does his bit to make your resume appealing. You get call in a few days Attend the interview and voila you have a appointment letter in your hands.
How did all this happen. Simple. The consultant partners with HR and hiring manager who each get their share of the pie. This has been going on for quite sometime now.
By the way, Similar nexus also present in TCS, infosys, microsoft, accenture, IBM etc.

I hope you are working for a company like Google/Microsoft/Yahoo. That is when companies like Accenture/IBM become second class and Infosys/Wipro/TCS.
If you are indeed working for a company like that, this article is not for you. There are lot of people out there who dream to join a company like Wipro. And being better privileged does not give you a right to demean others.
And if it is a sour grapes case, my view on it is having a positive opinion helps in ones progress than mud slugging.

VERY TRUE...companys like wipro, infy, tcs is full of these southy's who matter over only their so called caste, reddy's only in reddy project managers team and so forth...wiproites are junk, no funda, only time pass. no kidding, btw, wiproites will feel offended...but its a fact

Were you booted out of Wipro for bad attitude among many other defects you seem to have? Who would want to employ trash like you with such negativity? If you measure a company by the pay packets it doles out, you seem to be positioned at a very low station in life. Wipro is lofty by any standards, so stop commenting on it.

I work for a financial services firm at a senior level, and unlike a low status cobbbler like you, i don't need to fake american accents aND I DON'T NEED TO WEAR FAKE RAYBANS.....
So, offal like you should learn to keep his mouth shut.....
I know what is my position, you need to have a rethink about your pitiful position that you consider a job in Wipro as lofty....

Great response, cheers..some of the pay packets of IT companies this year were as low as 2.5 lakhs per annum, even a municipal grade 1 officer makes more, lol!

Vijay, I don't see anything wrong with Bhasmasur's message, the problem is that he has hit the nail on its head and spoken the truth, but for people like you it is difficult to stomach the truth. and don't make comments like pay packets don't matter...if that is the case, why are IT pros so desperate for a US posting?

I have not demeaned anyone...i'am only against bloodsucker IT companies who make you work for a lousy pay packet, make you slog for 14 hrs and pay you a pittance and then make you sign some bond which could range from 1 year to 4 years............
Thats all i'am saying........... Companies like TCS, Patni, Infy, Wipro is the worst form of exploitation of young grads from tier 2 engineering colleges cos tier 1 engineering collge students would never work for such companies......

Wipro professes that it can get a SSC / HSC passed person and Make him/her a Project Manager overnight. Any idea how they make it. Infact there was an Ad which stated the same. No requirement for even a graduate degree. There were on the other hand some very grim stories of real people who worked at Wipro and how their lives were permanently ruined by the company.
