UPSC topper's family celebrates
by kancheepuram narasimhan on Jun 15, 2010 01:33 PM  | Hide replies

Well. congrats. but nothing to celebrate as the boy is MBBS. The real achievements are from those who are from very poor family and still made it! from Tamil Naadu many from poor family background made it! There is one who discontinued school after 10th class, continued study in correspondence course and made it! A lady with a three year old child made it: These are achievers! I read the background of about 10 from Tn and I am just astonished! Loader( coolie)/cobbler's son etc- made it to ISA or allied servies! Salute such personnel.
THere is one Ex MLA of TN- Duraiswamy-- he runs a free training college to coach IAS aspirants. His academy has done excellent service to the poor! Praise him.

so pathetic that young kashmiris aspire for the corrupt and repressive civil services ... it is a shame on any community if they feel happy for topping this exam

FAISAL
by Anand sodo on May 08, 2010 04:53 PM

Faisal is not the first from the Muslim community to be selected for the IAS nor is he the first Kashmiri for that matter.
Faisal has topped the IAS,and that is a first.
Expecting Faisal to change the Future of the Nation - A dream - Do you think all IAS till date(including all Tppers till date) were NOT patriotic or FOOLS??? they were if not more EQUALLY Patriotic, Educated, Well Meaninged, Well Intentioned...etc...BUT it is the system that kills the ZEAL out of you.
So faisal has been selected - nothing new, Faisal is a topper - yes for him and his near & dear ones its a great achievement, For people like me every year there is a topper, even this year is one. I dont remember the names of the toppers of yesteryears similarly i will also forget his name - SIMILIARLY - even Faisal will go down in history as one more IAS.
