He is arrogant, selfish person.
He is the culprit behind accidents at Delhi Metro work.

Rediffji, ur statement that E Sreedharan Chief of Delhi metro is a BE from JNTU is wrong; not acceptable. JNTU did not exist when he graduated!

Well Said; Delhi is indebted to him. There is one more truth in the write up: He could do this only because no politician/ beuracrat could interfere in his work. Whatever it may be- ESeredharan deserves two Bharat Ratnas- one for Konkan project and other for DMRC.
Then hats off to Sheila Dixit for supporting him.
This clearly shows that all metro projects in India can be executed if there is will. Go & see Bombay. I am seeing proposed underground station board display in different places of Bombay from 1973. yes it is true. Not one station had come up till 2010. This is also Railway Ministry only.

A No-nonsense Gentleman who meant Business

Firstly, thank you Rediff for taking up a project of highlighting the Real Gems of India. Infact, I strongly feel that Dr.Sridharan should be made the Chief of the Quandrangle Project and several Infrastructure projects across India(mainly Railways, as it public transport). He also should have total control in executing all the Infrastructure projects, just the way he executed Konkan Railway and Delhi Metro.

he was the one who first told us about the massive scam that raju was running. But the government wanted to prosecute him for his statements!

why bright people fail in india.
by manoj kumar on Mar 26, 2010 01:09 AM

They are no able to form an inspiring team. which is important for achieving any big project. indian are basically ego maniac. every body want to be boss. sit and order others. thats all we fantasize. No training is given since childhood to keep eye on the outcome and be a good member of a team. serving other is seen as inferior. west has grown so much because their citizens are trained since childhood about how to be great member of any team and contribute your best withoug asking for too much personal reward. thats key of their success in business, tech, sports everywhere.
