Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar is a great scientist. He is the same person who started collecting all the patents for India. He is the one who got the patent for Turmeric back from an American Institute. Till date, he has taken thousands of patents for India (not for himself). He resigned from this organization after Congress Government came into power in 2004, because the communists were against him doing all this.
Great! Mr. Mashelker you are the role model for today's youth.
It is passion for knowledge that is important than going behind money. We want more people like you and please let some politicians join you for research (they are very good at research).
Will someone tell me which train of Central Railway leaves for Gujrat?Dr. Mashelkar had in one of his interviews mentioned that he was studying on Mumbai Central platform after the last train i.e. Gujrat Mail left the station.

No. 1 - His is not Ramesh Mashelkar. He is Raghunath Mashelkar. No. 2 - The times he is telling are of his childhood.

Mumbai Central is a station on Western Railway that connects all western states of India.
With an examplary brilliance as student and scientist, I would like Dr Mashelkar's view on mass import of foreign universities to India, on the slate now?
You have to be a doer to get things done. People who speak only talk non-sense, and remain beggers. That is the state of Naxalitism in India, where I find lot of students being sucked by that Socialist ideologies and get lost and remain useless for the society. If you are a doer, then others arond you become beggers behind you seeking a speck of the shine of your glory. Students/ Youth have to understand this truth and set their lives right.
His greatest service to country-- he later became Director General of CSIR (the largest Scientific body in India) and CSIR progressed in his regime. I could say this because I have been a part of CSIR for some time.
