not agreed. Look, Bhatia is not from IIT but he is from BITS Pilani. which is nothing but IIT!
IISc is a shade better than IIT! And Mylsami Annadurai, the Director of Chndrayan is not IITian. Gretatest ever inventor and the light giver to the world- TA Edison- is third standard school dropout!

I agree 100% with you.

These media people circle inside same holes.

Why concentrate on well (IIT, IIM), when you have the sea (common men doing great stuffs) ?

Come out of the well and experience the sea.

After Mr. Kalam, no doubt, India badly needs another brilliant, intelligent, sensitive, visionary person as its president. Mr. Narayan Murthy is the best choice.

Meeting Narayan Murthy Sir
by Suresh Babu on Mar 24, 2010 06:13 AM  | Hide replies

After completing my Bachelors in Engineering, I joined as a software engineer at Bangalore Softsell, Bangalore. For one of our project, our team had been to Infosys in 1996. I feel greatful and lucky to see Narayan Murthy Sir from close distance. I have seen him many times standing in "Q" during breakfast and lunch timings. I felt surprised to see his simplicity. He revolutionised the whole IT world in India and it lead to many middle and lower middle class family like us to shape their career and future. He is one of my inspiration in my life.

I would be glad to see him one day as the "PRESIDENT of INDIA". Hats off to Narayan Murthy sir, his wife, his family, and his wonderful team to make India to shine bright in the world.

With Respects,
Suresh Babu B L

But Guys...who ever is the best and simple cannot overlap and come into politics...we all know what happened to Dr Abdul Kalam...we know what happened when Mr.Naran Murthy was one of the contenders for the most prestigious postions for india...They did not select Mr.Murthy and selected one dummm president who was good for nothing...the same thing will happen again....

I would be soooo happy if one of the country Inspiration like Mr.NarayanMurhty becomes our president....

This Congress should go only then we may see some prospects of India Shinning...

Sparks for life!
by shiva on Mar 23, 2010 06:27 AM

Some people never give up! The tough gets going even when the going gets tough, tougher & toughest! That differentiates men from the boys or women from the girls!

Education is only a start & there are those not with much education but successful in life. Alas, there are also those educationally top-grade but fall apart. Some choose a way of life by choice but sadly others bemoan their state of affairs. The worst is, blame others for their plight & without doing anything to get going!

NRN is a great success & was the first among equals. One needs self-belief & never-say-die attitude. Then become a leader by setting an example in his case. There are many ways but persistence & keeping unwavering focus is the base. When ahead, others will try & bring you down. One has to step on many toes! Education is a good beginning but many fall by the way-side feeling that is an end in itself!

All need not have the zest for education but the right attitude to life goes a long way! Dhirubhai came along when life was at its pits! Nothing was possible & the babus held sway! He bided his time at the corridors of power with a dream, a big one! He would have been booted out & laughed at when he talked of crores but boy, did he not overcome Mount Everest? Many are easily satisfied but he went all the way putting one monument after another in a way like China does now! That takes th

I just cant digest when it is said that Murthy could not join IIT because his father could not afford the fees. Then how did he graduate from the National Engg. College in Mysore. No fees there?

Those were the days of subsidized tution fees. B Tech tutions fees in IITs and several other govt. engg colleges were about the same. A measly 240 Rs pa. But, believe it or, not many could afford even these owing to low family incomes and a larger number of dependents (4 to 5 children was almost a norm at the time). Although it was rather easy to get into an IIT, it was difficult to stick to an IIT and complete the degree as IITs used to chuck out failed students. With hostel and mess charges annual expenses would shoot about 2000 Rs pa or higher - out of reach for most parents. It was much cheaper to stay at home and attend an engineering as a day scholar. No problem because the standard of education in all reputed engineering institutes was comparable to that in IITs.
