She should visit remote village of kutchh and Saurashtran to see how many people do struggle and die due to water scarcity. How much fertile land become barran due to unavailibility of water and deprived of economy progress and food. Who supported her movement.. ther should be SIT to investigate.

Jatin Moron,
Sardar Sarovar Dam was built to full extent killing lives & livelihoods of thousands of Adivasis already. If still water is not reaching, it exposes lies of Indian & Gujarat Govt which sacrificied lives of tribals and also cheated people of Katch & Saurasthra. These corrupt politicians should be crucified.
You cannot rob from Tom and give it to Harry! No development can come at lives of others.

Mahavir,
Narmada Bachao Andolan not opposed to poor people in Gujarat getting water. It is against BIG dam which will kill the lives and livelihoods of tens of thousands of Tribals in Narmada banks.
NBA provided alternate to BIG dams by building small alternate and sustainable structures but it is corrupt Govt & Babus who didn't do it.
PLease know what people of Gujarat want is WATER, they don't care about BIG or small dam or which water preserving structure. Ask them whether they want water which has blood of others - they will not be happy.
So, let's build sustainable structures which will help all poor people not only one set.
Also, as educated people, please know issues and speak. Not talk like politicians. Know NBA's stand properly.
he is the person, who has done a lot for the telecom revolution in India. look, there was no self interest in his mission.. An xample of selfless worker..
Who chose the good for nothing Me... patkar?????A rotten egg in the galaxy of stars...

Anilji, all of us make mistakes. All of us are partisan. While E.Sreedharan,Kurian, JRD, S RAY, N Murthy deserve our respect honor, people like Lata , Sashi Taroor certainly do not desrve any thing. Pl tell me what Sashi has done to India/ Poor masses. He enjoyed high position in UN and earned crores. Same with Lataji. Never allowed any one to come up. In this country of 50/60/80 crores at that time, do u mean that there was no other good singer? Certainly Vani Jayaram was as good as Lataji. But with her influence she never allowed any one to enter Hindi film world. Not only that she even protested against the construction of a flyover in her road, as she will be disrurbed by noise! See how selfish she was? A single person opposing a flyover that will benefit millions of travellers! This is Lataji!

anilkumar,
I don't understand the logic behind your list. Shibaji Mujumadar was making a point that Mr. Pitroda worked for Rs. 1 per year Salary and changed the telecom sector. And what did Shashi tharoor did? he was a big guy in UN agreed and Zakhir hussain great tabla player in the world but again what sea change did he bring? Everyone listed are great people but don't forget Mr. Pitroda did not do for money or fame. Can you list people in that term?

I dont understand the logic. Who chose this list of best student. Rediff on it one set out to create a list - without giving the parameters of selecting. While choosing some like Abdul Kalam is agreed, who is Rediff to cho Narayan Murthy, of that matter Noori or some other.
I dont undertand this logic. If some one gets a noble prize and hardly contribute to India development he/ she is best student. Judge from contribution made to indian civil society.

partly correct. what is Lataji's contribution to nation? or Indira Nooyi? Nothing. Pitroda revolutionized communicatiion and Anil ambani made it the cheapest- accessibble to the poorest! Anil ambani desrves Bharat Ratna!
