There is no such thing as almost died. There is either dead or alive. The very fact that she is alive means that she is not dead. Let her die for the cause to achieve the martyrdom that you are attempting to bestow upon her. There are a number of such almost dead politicians. The latest one being Chandrasekhara Rao of Telangana Movement. He also may be having academics compareable to that of Medha Patkar. Again don't give us another b*ll sh*t about her almost PhD status. Because I am going to give the same reasoning. You are either PhD or you are not.

You do not seem to have the slightest idea about the pain, sufferings and trials that the lakhs of extremely poor people in India have to go through. If you yourself cannot reach out and help these people atleast appreciate those who do so, after facing great difficulties.

Noel Pinto - for you ignorance is a bliss. Exactly, what you have written. There were lakhs of extememly poor people who had to travel more than 10 KMS to get drinking water. Narmada project was to help those poor people. By the way, I am from Gujarat. Don;t get carried away by the corrupt, bisaded media. Make some effort to get the facts before opening your trap.

Narmada Bachao Andolan not opposed to poor people in Gujarat getting water. It is against BIG dam which will kill the lives and livelihoods of tens of thousands of Tribals in Narmada banks.
NBA provided alternate to BIG dams by building small alternate and sustainable structures but it is corrupt Govt & Babus who didn't do it.
PLease know what people of Gujarat want is WATER, they don't care about BIG or small dam or which water preserving structure. Ask them whether they want water which has blood of others - they will not be happy.
So, let's build sustainable structures which will help all poor people not only one set.
Also, as educated people, please know issues and speak. Not talk like politicians. Know NBA's stand properly.
india's best students are the facless common men and women. crores of them had sufferred hunger, sacrificed that small comforts to educate their children better than themselves. say that extra 4 years of schooling or college days or that additional professional qualification. they are the best students and are in crores and we owe them.
