I am not discouraging this fellow but If this person has scored from GENERATS quota the I salute him but If he has used any quota then I feel pretty for that GENARAL category candidate which is deserving but didn’t got selected due to our reservation system. Because each reserved quota seat throws one deserving candidate on street.

Man, when will you come out of your castiest mentality? Here is a guy who has done something near impossible( you can have your own views about IIT entrance, but that's another matter), being born to uneducated family, living in a slum, he has managed to clear an exam with good results. The very thing the govt should do is to provide good educational opportunities to under previleged. Here the contribution of Mr Bansal and the bhaba classes is very huge. GIven the affordable and accessible educational opportunities many from the lower castes can come up with out reservation.

Dude he is ranked 154ths so that takes care of that. Even if he had got through quota, its still an achievement looking at the background he comes from. What rank any one of us have gotten in the same situation?

He ranked 154th, but which category? I am not discouraging this person but again feel prety for one deserving candidate who is OUT because of this fellow.
