RE-union after good 30 years- WE STILL MEET and NET
by Sangeeta Verma on Aug 02, 2010 11:53 AM  | Hide replies

I am a pass-out of KVS, Bokaro. After schooling every body went to choose their career and perhaps lost the bond. I was the first to leave the batch prior to finish my 12 grade. After I joined on job in a PSU, during one of the monthly meeting, I over heard a very familiar name in the corridor and it reminded me of a childhood school mate. On enquiring the peon, I came to know that this person has come from Boakro to attend Quality meeting. Hesistantly I asked the peon to ask the gentleman to see me before leaving.
After the lunch time One, fairly grown up, with weird smile, entered into my cabin and introduced himself as Atanu Sarkar. I simply asked if he has done schooling from my school. And then rest is just history. We just kept on memorising the past days of schools gathering where abouts of our batch mates. Even my staff were quiet quizzed, as I was a very reserved person in office. With very puzzled look we were served tea, but that didn't stopped the pace of chatting. And in the year 1996, we stared gathering details of our classmates over phone and mail. Subsequently in the year 2004 first re-union happened in Bangalore. That was really amazing- meeting the boys and girls, who lastly met in school uniforms, were meeting with their full family- spouse and children. The most beautiful part of our group was that none of us has changed as a person, in spite of the fact we all are placed at diffrent levels. Our children were spellbound to watch our enthu and affection

Try to cultivate empathy and not sympathy at all because sympathy is just alip service but empathy goes 'in'& remains permanant.

There has been a change in the mindset of people who agree to the views posted in the story did exist earlier too. The only thing that has changed is, they have started airing their viewpoint with conviction and pride. But i'm sure masses still disagree as is show by he messages posted.

Dear Bhujji,
I am surprised and sentimentally moved by the contents. How are Raja, Jaya and your Mother? I remember every one and the association we have had cannot be forgotten. Mohan Da is no more. Vishu is in Delhi and his daughter in studying in Pune. My son is studying in Chennai and my daughter is working for Deloittee. I am presently working in China in Bank of Baroda. Happy friendship day.
