Education is Must...Not just for Progress
by Praveen Goud on Jan 17, 2010 12:09 AM

Education is must not just for progress and prosperity in life but also to survive in the society governed by rules and regulations laid by a system.

We need a change in the current education system which is degree oriented rather than tuning them to assist for progress....

We need quality, compulsory and affordable education so that people question, revamp the outdated , compete for quality and refine the policies, principles and practises which are being rubbed as standards for progress and prosperity.

I mean, whatever a person's past, India and Africa keep on suffering.

I'm not saying we should be like European countries. I'm saying we should be like Bhutan.

No printed currency, but enough for a happy contented life like it was for centuries.

And freedom of personal choice in things critical to one's inner growth.

Successful footballers
by caruthedath gopalakrishnan on Jan 13, 2010 04:17 PM

If money is the only criterion to be considered as successful in life, we have several multi-billionaire footballers all over the world.

What in short should be you heed to what your mind tells and follow it. Then one will be good at anything that he/she does.

Bright guy
by Sabarish Sasidharan on Jan 13, 2010 06:21 AM

Though this trivia is not of much face value, I still remember what my mom used to tell me about Ajit when he studied in the same college as hers. Ajit was one of the brightest in the class and was sometimes even quite openly offered to bunk the class because it might be boring for him !

Yeah sports is not good for you. Go to school and become code monkey for multinationals. That is way better. And the next time India gets 1 bronze dont write articles in REDIFF about how we dont give importance to other things.
