Why dont you display the photos in a higher resolution? These are too tiny to set as wallpapers or to enjoy the full glory of these lovely places in India

There are certain period of times in elephants life when they become rouges. Such elephants are chained more than required, as otherwise they may play havoc. Otherwise teh temple elephants are treated reasonably well.

Wild animals are born to live in the Wild. No amount of 'decent' care taking will compensate for the freedom of letting them live their lives. There are severe psychological consequences of keeping wild animals chained. This is torture. You cannot see it because if it psychological.

I agree.
We are very concerned about the Animals disappering from our planet, yet we show these monsterly act commited by us.Pics should be about caring them so that everyone loves them including our younger ones.That is how they will learn to care for them

It would be better if your ire is directed towards those poachers who do not allow these big beauties to live on this earth. At least temple authorites are giving them shelter and food besides proper treatment when they are not well.
