ctc is the most essential part and it shud be mentioned in anyone's cv for clear and transparent negotiation. also employer can analyse and manage their budget according the ctc. they will call only to those candidates who suites in their budgeted ctc for the particular position.
expected ctc shud always be negotiable as it is understood that a job change will give a hike of 10-20-30% anywhere...

if you mention CTC in CV you may be cheated by the employer. Always employer will try to settle 10-20% higher what you are getting presently. If for your position company is ready to pay more than 100% what you are getting at present, then by mentioning CTC in your CV you may lost that opportunity. so it is always advisable discuss CTC at later stage not on CV. In my previous organization I was getting 5.5 lakhs per annum. But I have not mentioned that in my CV. But after proper negotiation presently i am getting 13 lakhs per annum. That kind of jump you can get if you can prove your potential during the interview. So please do not mention CTC in CV.

aha...i think u have presented the fraud salary slip to them.
in ur case, even after giving ur 200% (only in interview) they will not be offered more than 30-40% of ur present ctc. that employer is dumb who gave u 13 lacs after knowing that u r drawing around 6 lacs. how can any employer do such a dumb and heavy mistake.
suppose u give ur best in ur interview...then automatically u have asked for ur current and the expected salary...even after that they offered u 13 from 5...then its a matter of 2 situation...1) u r lying or 2) employer is dumb.

You have a lack of knowledge. In every company there is a salary range. They will not fix your salary based on your previous organization. For your information I am working in one of the fortune 500 company and it is the only indian big MNC company. I have not given any fake document. It was my potential. If you do not have that potential then come to me I will teach you in free of cost.

comeon y the hell you'd want to mention ur CTC in ur CV, in case u dont know wht a CV means chk up the dictionary.. see first and foremost, you should never appear as tho u're after greedy and work only for money..

I agree, if not the Expected CTC, but atleast current CTC should be mentioned.

First of all if you mention CTC on your resume means you will put acros an image that you are only working for money, which is a wrong feeler.
Secondly, putting into pen and paper, sets your upper limits, ad you can never get more than that.
Last but not the least, CTC on a CV/resume looks really pathetic, i remember laughing out loud when we came across a CV with the same.
