Way CVs are being reviewed by Consultants/HR
by Rajiv Bhandari on Feb 16, 2010 03:47 PM

The fact is that HR people use CTRL F to find the relevant keywords and go for the shortlisting. I had a chance of being shortlisted a couple of times by the consultant for the company which I left few months back and at a profile higher than the last one. During the time of recession, many job seekers would probably have got the rude tone/harsh voice of HRs but since it is hiring season we might be getting some different kind of response. Hope HRs could understand that HR is only about people not completing target or just filling a vacancy.

Recruiters only know to use Shift F
by Satyajit Mahapatra on Feb 16, 2010 02:38 PM  | Hide replies

Most of the HR persons/ Recruiters only use Shift F(Find keys in MS-Word) to find out the keywords in the resume. This is because of their lack of functional knowledge. Only good recruiters go through the resumes in details. The best way is to mention the keywords of the job post in the job portals.
