that thug Police concentrates on FINING you, PUNISHING you.
They do not work towards PREVENTING it. They want their HAFTA and FINES. So they suddenly swarm the streets in Feb and March of every year to collect FINES!!!!!
1. How do you trust people who harass you at Police Stations to get simple Passport Verification done? 2. How do you trust Police which behaves like personal dogs of the Politicians and bark at the common man. 3. How do you trust Police who wont file your FIR when you go to the Police Station.
THERE IS COMPLETE LACK OF CREDIBILITY of Indian Police. Hopefully Police can collect some HAFTA from Pubs.
how can the cops stay outside the pubs, because pubs and bars give cops more money to stay 5kms away from their vicinity.and this money flows upto the rank of IG.cop died in mumbai and this death happened because these were all waiting to happen as the cops were doing half-baked nakabandi instead of catching thief in his own den, cops want to catch drunken drivers on the road away from pubs.if they had done their duty by patrolling the people coming out of these pubs then these kind of accidents could have been nipped in bud
GIVE THIS GIRL LIFE TERM PUNISHMENT......... and people will be careful in future.......
Quick and proper punishment is the ONLY solution of every public problem ........
Another problem is corruption...... corruption will not allow HUGE MONETARY FINES to become deterrence for drunk driving.....
Also Society should be responsible and sensible........ system alone can not stop crimes.....
Parents should regulate their kids....
Another imporatnt thing Govt should do.... Awareness / Warning drives through Regular media Publicity of criminal laws ( different types of crimes and punishments..)
There are many suggestions from well meaning persons, but all of them are niether feasible nor effective. Let us not start inventing the wheel. This nuisance seems to be very much under control in most of the western countries. It is better to study them and implement one or more of them which suits indain attitudes.

you are right..western countries don't have 1 billion population and they don't have a goondaraj politicians making bucks like in India. I hear, swiss police get such good salaries,when someone offers a bribe, they don't take it. Increase the police salaries..after all they are always risking their lives and nothing can be more dangerous. Catch the offender and give him sufficient punishment...he will learn his lesson.
