1. You can have GANJA, if you dress up like a Sadhu and dance in Kumbh Mela. 2. You can force people to close down shops, not attend work - by calling a BANDH. 3. You can assault couples, under the garb of Moral policing. 4. You can dress up in brown shirt pant, and collect HAFTA from roadside vendors. 5. You can organize massive rallies using biryani packets, liquor and block traffic.
ALL THE ABOVE EVENTS WILL BE REWARDED.
BUT, if you party - take 5000 licenses. Middle-Class good only for paying taxes.

Well, I really doubt, any of the guys n gals involved in this party actually belong to Middle Class. They surely are from Upper Class and will be bailed out of this trouble by their influential folks.
Playing loud music late into the night, consuming alcohol without a permit and organising a party without permission from the local authorities....these are sufficient reasons to arrest them, I really dont understand why so called educated ppl always blame police and politicians....and forget their own responsibilities...!!, if somebody would have raped in that party...them same ppl would have shouted in our fool media..."what was police doing??"

Chalta hai yaar, after all they are children. Let them enjoy. Their crime is not even 0.001 % of crime rest of India is doing. I tell you, these children are very very innocent. Clean by heart.

by pranjal pachpore on Aug 03, 2010 10:50 PM
there is no rule against drinking alcohol and organising a private party ... music was lound and comes under civilian offense there is no case for arresting... what can i say moral police are fools and people who support their activities are more foolish
Re: Re: It was fair thing
by bubble bob on Aug 03, 2010 11:03 PM
Only break they are getting is by breaking all the Laws. 1) PArking Vhehicle at no parking area 2) Obstructing the traffic 3) Storing the Liquor without permit 4) Drinking the Liquor without permit 5) Making noise beyond 10pm limit 6) Disturbing the Neighbour sleep. 7) Forgetting they are student 8) Making aish on parent's money. 9) Not following college hostel rules. 10) Forcing Junior Girls to attend party. thus Ragging charge.

Common Sense and Experience tell me that - IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY LICENSE OR PERMISSION from Police - without a bribe or influence.
That is the MAIN reason people do not go around taking licenses. Not because they do not want to.

SERIOUSLY THE GUYS DRINKING THERE WER MORE THAN 22 YEARS THEY WERE POST GRADUATES DO U GET A LICENSE EVEY TIME U OR NY OF UR FRIEND DRINKS?? WHY DONT PUT THEM IN JAIL. AND DONT GIVE ME A FOOLISH ANSWER OF YES
It is written, "It was one of those social affairs where no drugs or any serious offenses were involved. And yet, young college students, out for a night of fun, landed in the police net".
It is true that the students stayed out for longer than permitted. However, the police could also have used their discretion & could have let them off with a piece of advice. But our police, showing their true colors would have "Arrested" the hapless students to show their might. It could also be possible that the students refused to cough up the required amount the grease the palms of the police. At least the college authorities should behave decently and not persecute the students.
If they do not enjoy the parties at this age, at least once a while when else they are going to enjoy?

Same applies to most riots.

it is almost like a crowd for a wedding party or a public gathering, it could have caused a nuisance for the neighbors. they should have taken prior permission from the cops and the local community.

With the kind of language used by you, everyone can find out what kind of person you are. Who gave you right to start abusing young students who were just partying? If they were wrong then you being senior to them are more wrong then them by using such bad language.
Donot Punish the students, or put them in the Jail, otherwise they will become hard core crimnals. They are on wrong path and Correct path should be shown by their prof. Ploice action will hurt them and they will take revenge against the beurecracy for their whole life.

Every thing in limit and control is acceptable. But when it crooses the limit like addiction to the Liquior, killing people under the influence of the alchol is not permitted.

Who says Fun will be got by only drinking Liquor. Have a fun but dont afftect u are neighbours, donot kill inncoent road walkers by u are costly full throttle running SUV's
If we have to strictly follow the law; this is how we should party:
1. Take permission from local police, neighbours, community etc. (plan this atleast a month in advance)... oops is there a concept of surprise party? 2. To be on the safe side don't get alcohols. Drugs is a strict no no(ok, i support the drugs part) 3. Your party should start at 7pm and end at 9pm (no b'day parties at 12 ;))... 4. Ask your guests to wishper, rather than talk and sing 5. No dance, music or all those stuff 6. Ask your guests to come in community transport, so that you don't block locals parking space 7. Ask your guests to wear formals, just in case moral police comes in and finds guests not properl covered 8. To be on the safe side, only invite guests with family
Woho...there we are...thats called a legal party... cool huh?? :(

OTHER GOVERNMENTS LEARN FROM DAMAN AND DIU - pondicherry make liquor cheap the whole of gujaraj and andhra pradesh will come to you
If what has been reported is correct, the party took place in a farm house. There has been no report of neighbours complaining. If noise is the issue then there is so much more noise during Diwali with bursting of crackers. Will all those who burst crackers be arrested this Diwali?
