In Nutshell Dump the Idea of Going to Dubai
by Batao Na on Apr 09, 2010 02:58 PM  | Hide replies

Visit Sychelles or Mauritus which is more friendly to tourists and for shopping do it at home and boost local economy.

I pity poor souls who need to go to Dubai for making a living but they could have make it back in India as well.

how will they get jobs in India? Will you give them the jobs? Stop talking like a bl00dy politician, if you cannot do anything, just sh0t the f0ck up and let people do what they want.

Friend, I have lived in Dubai for the past 4 years and have no intentions as of now to go back to my BELOVED India. And trust me, even if I go back to India, I would make an awesome living. I get calls from headhunters every day who throw insane offers to me for a job in India. But I choose to live in Dubai and I am no "pity poor soul". I am sure that you have not travelled to this part of the world and have no idea what the place is like. So don't be ignorant and stop passing useless comments.

What is the use in visiting a beautiful place if you can't be free to enjoy it and if you are always afraid when you might go wrong? If you want to enjoy life, better don't go there, unless you are have to be a slave for their money! You have only one life. Be free!!

Preserve indian traditions
by jaggu on Apr 08, 2010 09:05 AM

Entire world culture is becoming like a crowded parking lot in a metro city. It is oimportant to preserve the real Indian heritage . We shoudl ban all imported influences which interfere with our culture. Those who are happy to be in Dubai or want martyrdom should be offered it instantly.

No nation is better than our nation
by Satish Sreekumar on Apr 07, 2010 06:18 PM  | Hide replies

Go through the list of dos and don'ts of each country and you will be baffled. The worst is Muslim dominated nations where you hardly have any freedom. You are just a prisoner there. You get lot of money, great malls to visit, long driveways, swanky cars but where is freedom?

Take India, our own nation. You are a free bird. Yes, we have so much of issues like corruption but is it in any way stopping you in walking freely on the road? You can have food throughout the day; whether it is Ramzan or not, you can look at any person's face [if you look at a purdha clad woman in Saudi Arabia and she points her finger towards you, you are in jail next!]. Yes, whatever USA or Europe or other nations have great to talk about, India is still heaven to live life the way you want.

Free, really? Try checking into a hotel with your girlfriend and see how the cops come barging in and try to slap irrelevant charges against you .Free, really. And if you are a woman, try wearing a skirt that is even below the knee and see how people will stare at you Even if you are a man, try wearing shorts and walking around in India's smaller cities and see the weird looks people will give you. You call this free? You do have a sense of humour.

Yes, jannat where a harmless act like kissing lands you in prison. I sometimes wonder if these fellows have some problem inside their top storeys..howmuchever developed it looks, drive Hummers around, have big roads, but they still have to show the funny mindset of their religion.

Harsha. The case referred to about kissing was not a harmless act. Try google and you will come to know what the couple were actually doing. My wife can walk freely around in Dubai wearing a skirt and people would not stare or pass lewd comments. We can hold hands in public without being overly romantic and that is acceptable. Try doing that in Delhi. My wife does not go out wearing jewellery in her hometown cause people come on bikes and try to snatch it. Not saying that Dubai is Jannat on earth but India is far from it.

No rules. No restrictions. No Checking. You can do whatever you want in this country since all concerned offices are so courteous and what they want from foreigners is only Dollars. You can also overstay and if possible get residentship, if you are a regular visitor.

UAE - The best country to live in!
by syed jawahar on Apr 06, 2010 10:28 PM  | Hide replies

Hey Iam an Indian and living in dubai for the past 2 years as Iam working in a top bank as a software engineer. Generally people go behing US visas and waste their time. But some smart people like me will aim at earning in Lakhs INR per month in a simple way!!!.

UAE is the best country in the world!. Usually the phrase Unity in Diversity connects to India but if you are an indian you will realize that those are only meant for Socil studies syllubus of school...thats it. Northies will not like south indians n viseversa. And maharastra people dont like north indians...Kannada people will not allow other language movies to run...Tamil people dont understand hindi etc etc...forget it.

In UAE, You will find people from almost 130 countries and it is the only country in the world which has high expatriates living than the actual citizens but still they follow the law very strictly. If you try to bribe the police, then he will put u to jail without any second thinking. because police are only locals here n their salaries are 4-7 times higher than what IT Project manager earns in Infosys in India for one month eg.

Particularly muslims will love to live here as no one dares to stare at a women or comment on her in public p

What you have expressed is correct ? but there is reason behind that few are as Under.

1) Less poppulation.
2) earnings is very good.
3) People are deciplained and
4) most important they have charecter

in India people have double charecter , Indians in India are diifferent at home different at work, different as boss different as subordinate.
apart from that people in India do not work honestly.
