For those who dont want to use tobacco...
by Rajesh Kumar on Jul 18, 2009 03:10 PM

try rubbin your daily newspaper on the windshield and then ride in the rain. You have the same effect as is being said for tobacco. I think the kerosene in the paper plays its magic! Just remember to read the newspaper before you run it! Safe driving!

SWIFT is the best car
by Dr Pravin Gupta on Jun 29, 2009 10:24 PM  | Hide replies

I drive Maruti SWIFT VDI.It's one of the best cars produced by Maruti.I get 20-22 KMPL on highways with AC on. It's cost is lesser than Logan. So I have saved cost wise as well as on fuel also.SWIFT has best diesel engine. It's pick-up is better than some of the petrol cars.I am driving it for a year without any problem. As and when you will buy SWIFT, you will foget logan. Logan's service is worst where as Maruti excells in service. Drive it to believe it. But check-out, there is waiting list of 4 to 6 weeks for SWIFT VDI and 4 to 6 months for SWIFT DEZIRE ZDI.

my logan experience on Mumbai Ahmedabad highway
by Gumpy on Jun 29, 2009 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

yesterday i was on mumbai ahmedaad highway driving Logan petrol 1.4 GLe. the A.C was fine, road more or less clear and could drive @ 80 kmph average. I load Speed petrol only. It gave and avg 12.5 kmph, @ 80 kmph over 160 kilometers to and fro - 3 stops.
Twice in rainy road, the car skidded just a bit, and stopped just on time. Space is excellent and rivability is also fine, good road holding.

Logan is quite a value for money. It's inner space is SUPERB ! U dont get so much head room, side space or leg space in any other sedans around. Cost wise it's 6 lacs mumbai on road for 1.4 GLE.

This is not getting rain ready!

How stupid is it if the slides don't talk about the mist that forms on the windscreen and how to get rid of it. This is the most difficult thing of all apart from the wipers. Make sure the Car's Air conditioners are working fine. That helps in clearing up the screen. Pure Science.

Gathering the moisture on the windshield is nothing but temperature differences in inside-outside the car. simple solution to get rid of this is to operate ACs temperature on optimum level, that is, if inside the car if the temperature is cold then moisture will be formed at outer surface of the glass and if the temperature inside the car is warmer than outside then moisture will form at inner surface of the glass, to avoid this, use the AC at not too high or not too low. second most important is to keep internal air re-cycling one. this avoids new mois air to enter the car from outside.
