Heartiest Congratulation on your achievement, managing a company worth Rs. 2000 crore & 1200 employee is not easy. It is very difficult? I can imagine that lot of hard work & many a time pressurize situation u must have handle. It took 14 year to reach to the top. I agreed with your view that success doesn’t come so easy. Take care of your health. Be good with your family & colleagues.

You are sick man. Without knowing anything how can you pass such a wierd comment. It's the mentality of our society that we feel that success in India can be attained only through negative means and modes. A statement of Negative attitude. Please come up.

See how you feel hurt. Imagine if she (Rahat) reads your comment. I don't deny that you might have come across such examples. But that doesn't mean every one is such. All are human beings including me and you. Forgive me if I have hurt you.

My Dear if you don't know Condur then others too don't know anything. But whatever your experience may be ,u have to be decent. It seems you association is with those who knows other ways to climb success ladder. While in a decent society you have to plug your mentality to move on .Secondly everybody has right to write anything ,so you should not bother about others ,if they read ur words or not.

Every one suggest you should study
by Shubhadip Debroy on Jun 15, 2009 05:26 PM

To all HR professionals and Honchos it is easy to say when ur laid off the best thing to do is study and redife once skils. But Dear if u people were laid off( Let God Forbids) could u do the same . Where from will the money flow? And the insecurity factor. The best thing I suggest is go on hunger strike and let the goverment gives an employment or allowance till u find an appointment as all this years we have paid our hard money to taxes for the corrupts buerucrats and politicians.

Great but common
by Rao Gopal on Jun 15, 2009 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

First my regards to Ms.Rahat. In a very short span she reached the top post and we young buddies should take cue from from.. However, when i saw the message caption, "A wife, mother and COO at 38!" i expected that she might me from some ad agency, PR agency or hospitality industry. As expected, my guess is correct. I respect work, but the operations of service industry are much much easier compared to Manufacturing industry. While i say this, i repeat, i respect females occupying coveted posts in service industry. But, only service industry focusses in PR. I request Rediff, to publish success stories of females working for manufacturing industry. Go to Reliance, Vedanta, L&T, HCC, Gammon, Bharti Airtel and so on... and the list is never ending. Females are there here also who reached top positions though it is male dominated enviornment. Go and take their interview also. how much focus would you give to PR and AD agencies. Enough. go and collect success stories of females working for nation builders such as L&T and BHEL, NTPC but not stupid service companies. Hope Rediff understands what i want to convey. venu

well said,i fully agree with you.Unfortunately, most of the women that are being projected as achievers in media are from either field from glamor and films or at the best from PR and hospitality industry.Very rarely we find any woman being projected as an achiever from fields of engineering, science, industry etc.this gives a distorted picture.
