GOOD INTERVIEW.....
by rahul mishra on Dec 23, 2009 10:09 AM

I always admire Tharoor for what he achieved....but somehow now a days he is getting allof from ground level reality.....he is absolutely right when he says education is all about training to think......but indian people is always being an ignited mind and well informed as well as good thinker and argumantative also but the need of the hour is to chanelise it in right direction with meaningful means and productive ways.....we can form an opinion not through twitting but participating approach and feel the need......

Education is needed that can empower the young mind
by Kaushala Mishra on Dec 23, 2009 09:50 AM

One feels optimistic to read statements of Mr Tharoor. Howver, situation is more complex. There is a need to develop a system in education that for constructive thinking.Political system of our country has closed the door for entry of talented patriotic and passionate people for engagement in social reconstruction of India.Today, hard working careerist have lost hope to engage themself in social and political process of our country. This existed amply in pre-independence era. Unfortunately, today both young and grown up citizens are heard expressing dissatisfaction and pessimism because of families being pushed in opportunity providing process and in controlling the entire political process in the country. In the long run, India is likely to lose the game miserably and internal family- centered political process will prosper which, to my mind, will harm the interest of nation and will hamper severely the progress ambitions of India. Congress chose some one as the Patil as the President of India!
by Pallattu George on Dec 23, 2009 09:41 AM

If Pratiba (with no Pratiba seen in her) is chosen by Congress as the President of this country for whatever compulsions you had, instead of Abdul Kalam, do not speak of the need of well formed minds. Your own well formed mind was given first recognition in UN. Then you are here as a state Minister. The criterion for the best Indian mind is the recognition it gets outside of India.

Cleansing has to happen from top
by Vedic India on Dec 23, 2009 09:28 AM  | Hide replies

We already have great minds.... We don't have system that care for merit. To begin with, what is the criteria for MLA or MP ticket? Is it the service mind or winnability. We in India adopted a system where winning is the criteria. Take Congress...... Can it blame on the problems we have now? Like individuals, govt also make mistakes. But our parties, especially congress, failed to give direction to this country. Even after 60 years, we are still strugling to have basic health, education, and food. Most of the states are ruled by Families. Great rational mind like Karunanidhi advocates family rule. He is very rational in all matters except corruption and family rule. Hope, things will change..... That has to happen, oneday.
