they do not care at all - they have large legal cells to take care of the harassed students' complained
To those who worked hard for this test and faced a goof-up and mental harassment, I feel for you. If I could, I would have tendered an unconditional apology
At this time, the only thing that should be taken due care is the students' concern and interest. Those who could not take the test are still skeptical about their new exam date as there has been no communication either through SMS or email. The worst part is that the candidate care number 1800 103 9293 is not being received by any person. I had my exam cancelled on Nov 29th and till today, Dec 3rd, there has been no communication regarding the rescheduling of my test. The IIMs refuse to entertain that only Prometric can respond to such issues whereas Prometric is not ready to respond, i dont know why? The IIMs should understand that this is an exam for their institute and they should ensure that Prometric is taking proper care of students' concerns.
These CAT servers may have been using non-free software like Microsoft Windows and IIS, these may have had gaping holes which allowed viruses and trojans in. Exams like CAT, JEE and other common entrance tests should be run on servers having free OSes and appln. software. The Govt. should mandate use of this on infrastructure servers as valuable student time is being lost. The Govt. should monetarily penalize the implementing company for such software glitches and monetize taxpayer money!

Did you use any of MS OS or softwares to post this msg ?
No, I don't think we should blame IIMs for all these mishaps. It is not an easy task to conduct online examination for 2.4 lakh people in 10 days. For the first time in world history, any institute is conducting such a huge online exam. We should appreciate IIMs for that. However, there are some issues like infrastructure problems, virus attack but I am confident from next time we will have much better online CAT exam.

The CAT exam has been a misery this year for students as well as parents.Today morning i dropped my son to a god forsaken place in Haryana called Khentwas (Farooq Nagar) which had little or no road for half the way after gurgaon. Its was a 3 hour drive from Delhi. Someone in my office later told me that the crima rate in Khentwas is perhaps one of the highest in North India.I wonder how can wise and experienced people choose these crazy places as one of the centres. Its a shame for the IIM's and a sham as well. Its the most mismanaged fissard being run in this country at this point in time.
