it is nuisance when you recive such unsolicted coomunication. Also, sometimes this leaves to think how these people get our information. Is there no confidentiality left?

All information you provide and the transactions you do with cards are watched and they will predict your behavior and buying pattern and all this data you may get at Nehru place for Rs.500 or so in a CD with which u can do what u want, so beware before giving personnel information

Normally, the credit card companies are supposed to check against CIBIL list (i.e. a list which has creditworthyness info and the past track record of a customer) before issuing a card. Am surprised how you even got the second card, but considering how banks function, it is ok I guess. One thing is for sure: your credit history would be spoilt for good and you will never be able to raise loans. Not to mention, raids by collection gundas and possible litigation.

You would be blacklisted on Cibil and after that you would never get any type of loan, credit card.

Dont get into the mess pay off or you would be stuck up in future as of now India has already gone for one system. Every time you apply for a loan or credit card your data would be checked on CIBIL and any black list remark would be end of your road.

Citi that never allows you to sleep
by Roshan on Jul 25, 2008 02:52 PM

I have been getting two free add-on cards inspite of cutting and surrendering the card along with a request for cancellation. When my original card get renewed, they once again send the pair of add-on cards. They are not bothered about telephonic complaints. Now I stopped making complaint. Once they charged a renewal fee of Rs.750 on the add-on cards and reversed it after big shouting. I never used the add-on cards and just ensure that the add-on card balance is 0.00 by checking it in on-line regularly.

I too received a umsolicited card from SBI Card in addition to the one I already had. But I called the Customer care, send them a request that I don't need an additional card. Then I cut the card into 2 pieces and disposed it. 2 weeks later I received a letter from SBI Cards saying my additional card has been inactivated. Thus the problem was solved then. But still sometimes they pressurise me over the phone to acquire an additional card saying that I am thier prestigious customer. I safely declined thier requests.
