Most of this activities took place in BPO's......I am working with BPO ,one of the top 05 BPO ranked by NASSCOM.....When we are in training we are 26 people there out of which i am sure & even they told me,that 16 of them are undergraduate & shown as graduate....so approx 61 % of them are fake.....these undergraduate work in international bpo for 2-3 months after their exams and earns 30,000 and left.I think it is not justice .....

fake resumes
by aruna k on Jul 16, 2008 12:07 AM  | Hide replies

Much has been written about AP guys . It is true to a certain extent. When I first came to hyderabad, i was surprised at the way the resumes, payslips etc were fabricated . Now the same people are making n no. of trips to US , in plump positions.

But here I want too quote, that people from other regions are not left far behind in faking . Only difference I find is north Indians can do show bazi with some bollywood inspired tactics.,AP people are naive & rustic in approach.

More than 70% people working in US in It firms have fake experience. and their relations, talk too big about them .

All crdit goes to politicians who opened so many engg. colleges, & made higher education cheap & the quality is at its lowest ebb.

Always a new hole

No matter what checks you put in place, the fakes still find a loophole. There is no end. Take this, ,the back ground checks are done to verify employees work experience. The employee gives a fake experience in a fake company. The company exists in the form of a small shop that has a person to receive phone calls and say 'Yes he worked here.' And these companies charge some thousands from the fake employee. In today's software world, its only rare that genuine people work together. Nothing to do but move on with the world and be ashamed of our corrupt society!
I agree with the other guys that even companies do something like this for getting their clients.
Survival of the fittest.

no transparency in HR
by sarah on Jul 15, 2008 10:59 PM  | Hide replies

In Indian comapanies the HR never gives the details of position, They just ask to join and expect us to know about the role from whichever project we get in. Compare that to european and american clients, where they give you 30 min lecture regarding the nature of project and they verbally ask if you agree before signing the agreement or offer. Once i asked about the role and project during my HR interview in HCL company, and they told me its confidential and not ethical to give details about client b4 joining company, they were not even ready to tell the working hours/shift timings/position/grade. They only asked to joined. I was laughing in the interview and told them to find someone else who can ethically sit quietly in company without asking question about his work. This is what HR do in India.

Fake CV
by jagdeep khanna on Jul 15, 2008 10:59 PM  | Hide replies

Is this not the responsibility of the company\\\"s HR Deptt and as well as the so called CEO\\\" of the company to check the credentials of the applicant before issuing the appointment letters. It is very easy to make the candidate responsible and make him/her the scapegoat of their inefficiency and to prove their worthiness towards their supermacy. It is the moral duty of CEO of the company to terminate the services of Head HR under whose signatures the appointment letters are issued for the no fault on the part of the candidate to whom the appointment letter has been issued. all the credentials authenticity should be ascertained before the issuance of the appointment letter.

Hypocracy of Software firms
by jamal on Jul 15, 2008 10:38 PM

Many softare firms while negotiating the deals with clients they exaxerate the things. some time they tell client that their employee has 5 year of experience(while he might have less than two years of experience). Why they do so many manipulations while giving proposal to client? So who will teach moral and ethics to them?
