Don't be blind

Everyone,
Having seen some of the naive queries here, I just cannot help but conclude that many of you are frustrated with your jobs and are looking for a better job/break.
Let me assure you that H1B is not the answer to your problems.Tackling that is another set of discussion.
To highlight the problem of H1b , most US based companies are reluctant to sponsor fresh H1Bs due to the hopeless Green card situation. The only ones ready to offer the olive branch or Desi consulting companies and they will under pay you squeeze out the last ounce of blood from you.
Disclaimer : There are some genuine cases where everything will fall in place like great job/employer/pay, but this is an exception and not the norm. In many cases, H1Bs are hired so that they can be hired for a lower cost. Please research this aspect further before taking the plunge.
Hope media highlights these issues to educate all the aspiring job seekers. Hood luck everyone. Another note is the author has vested interest in people applying for Visa and therefore his advice must be taken with a pinch of salt.Q

"Watch Out For Fake Ones!"
Well and accurately said. In addition, there are fake Desi companies, who will offer to file H1B for you. They will take your money and resume, and do not file the application at all! Let me assure you that it has actually happened. I do hope that the US Law soon catches with them.

How can the H1B Visas be filled so soon?

The problem with fast filling of H1B is with the Desi ones. All foreigners know the real situation. The Desi ones file for everyone and anyone, including their relations in far away villages. These people are shown to have fake degrees, resumes and experience. These people with H1B have no jobes later, and live with the friends of their friends.

The result is that the genuine cases with real degrees have no openings so far as H1B is concerned. Afterall it takes time to locate a job, and a genuine company takes time to recruit and file for H1B.

It is reaaly surprising that the US authorities do not realise that a large scale cheating is being done by the Desi ones.

I do hope that this message is read by some US authority.

Idenity withheld!

I think they should replace the trivial suggestions and comments of Dr. Vakil with this concise and informative post from Badrinath Ramamoorthy. Dr. Vakil just seems to be making money working on people's ignorance and probably depends on more people to apply for a H1 and get rejected, to further his consultancy. Badrinath - thanks for taking time to write this post.
