Here the clarification
by Harish on Jun 30, 2006 06:26 PM

dear Herjeet,

When the market is good and the value of NAV is increased, you get less number of units. But the market is collapsed and the NAV is decreased you get more units, inturn increases your total holdings of the units.
again when the market is good you can sell all or some of the units at higher NAV. Indirectly this system accrues you very good return.
You are investing Rs:1000 every month
When NAV is 10 you get 100 units
When NAV is 9 you get 111 units
when market is good and the NAV has increased to 11
you can sell 211 units at 11(assumption no exit load)
at Rs:11.This way you can make profit of Rs:321(2321-2000). Understand the logic man

SIP a looser
by Adnan on Jun 27, 2006 07:02 PM

Actually now the Fund houses have started minting money. There is no term as free lunch. First they attracted people by showing the attractive returns without any cost. Which are on paper and actually u really dont get much returns. Now the fund houses would gain irrespective of u gaining or losing money. The SIP was initially charged 0 then 1% and now 2.25% later wud b 5 and never wud stop. Its high time the investors get aware of the propaganda behind MF's. The government is hand in glove with these mf as they earn a lot from mf's ultimately from the investors pocket. Please please do not get fooled by these gimmicks. The best bet is PPF anytime irrespective of the returns.
In mf's ur returns are based on market value. If it falls its u who is in loss. The mf's wud b least concerned as they have already had their pie.
We still do not have any clear picture as to how much the Fund has earned and how much the investor has got. Coz MF's tend to put certain % of money in their pockets from the profits booked by investor's money also.
Let us all join hands and slap the MF's and show them they cannot just make a fool out of everybody by withdrwing from these funds and not investing in.

SIP

This is another method to cleverly fool the customer.Even if the NAV increases you get less return and if NAV decreases you are fooled and get more units with less value. ultimately you get less. Instead if you invest same amount every month but in different schemes you will e benefitted more
someone with mathematical skill can prove the point.

Dear Sree,

Now a days most of the Fund house charge entry load for SIP. UTI mutual fund doesnt charge any entry load for some of their fund through SIP mode.

SIP is also offered by most of the Fund house, its the best way of investing during market fluctuations.

Any clarification regarding SIP pls kindy mail me
