hi Zelda,

i totally agree with your idea of introducing children to the world of box and not the stupidous soaps on the idiot box. I also agrees with the fact that nowadays children and youngsters do dnot read at all (i have examples at home). The most important thing in your column that every reader should notice is that for any one to make their children do what you want it is very necessary you do it yourself first, which is clearly seen in you column as you mention to make reading a habit in morning and evening. Apart from that if you yourself dont watch TV so often your child is bound adopt that idea....

VERY WELL-WRTTEN COLUMN FOR EVERY PARENT

Dear Zelda,

Can't agree less. We have 8 year olds and love reading. They never switch-on the TV/PC by themselves, though they know how to. We have never tried to read 'waking up' stories...we'll give it a try.
