Ministers with.....
by sagni ingas on May 28, 2009 11:23 PM  | Hide replies

Rediff still upto old tricks... So the seeds of doubt planted the day of oath-taking. Well Rediff... at least there is no minister facing an 'incitement to communal violence" and genocide charge...!

Journalists at rediff know that thousands of Bhola bhala people are reading their portal news. They obviously have an ulterior intention. Which person can be in public life and still remain free of a police complaint being filed against him or her especially for wrong reasons by a envious opponent?

It's easy. You can walk into any police station offer a couple of hundred of rupees and file a complaint against the prime minister or Chief Justice of the Supreme court and say what ever you like.

This is the wrong way to throw light on public figures. Will the next generation ever think of politics as a vocation? Will India have good leaders left if we mischievously tarnish our leaders like this?

Good people will shy away from politics that way.

Like always media has become irresponsible.

Curse you Rediff. YELLOW JOURNALISM.

How do you define criminal antecedents?
by Sanjay Jamdade on May 28, 2009 11:18 PM

People at rediff clearly need to define what they mean by "criminal antecedents". For all the 9 ministers not one has any "serious" charge against him. Atleast according to the facts brought out by rediff. Then why do they call them as "having criminal antecedents"?

Probably to please the perpetually naive , depressed, underage and folks alien to Indian reality.

I didn't vote for these guys nor the parties they stand for nor am I a typical Congress supporter. But I am a responsible citizen.

For the naive and un-initiated let me tell you that if you are a grass root politician within one year you accumulate such charges.

Wrongful restraint an euphimism for-"Gherao" ( against injustice)

Rioting-"Morcha" turning violent after being attacked by their opponents or caned by the police with or without provocation.

Folks at rediff, please grow up, or atleast let others grow up. Rape, Murder, Extortion, Narcotics smuggling etc. are serious crimes not Morcha and Gherao.

Democracy is expressed through 'morchas', 'hartals' and 'Gheraos'. It is a sign of their being devoted to their electorate not a sign of "Criminal tendencies"

Make amends before you are FORCED to amend. STOP YELLOW JOURNALISM and SENSATIONALISM.

DMK fooling illiterate poor
by Rajan Sodankur on May 28, 2009 11:10 PM  | Hide replies

A government on joining the service has to give an undertaking to the ffect that he won't have illegal marriages. How does a political person with illegal wives qualify to lead a government of such civil servants? DMK led by cine dialogue writer Karunanidhi has been fooling the illiterate Tamilian poor with sweet sounding Tamil dialogues, free or cheap TVs to them watch the channels run by his son and relatives, looting money under so called failed mega projects such as telugu Ganga water or Veeranam lake water for Chennai or boating project in a would be clean goddam Coovam river whose rotten smell is siffocating Chennai public, distributing currency notes on the eve of elections to buy votes, fooling Congress after getting their support and depriving them of particiaption in state government and after getting ministerial berths at centre and state looting public again to enrich their family first. When none of the Gandhi family members sought ministerial berths Karuna unashmaedly was seeking ministries for his own three relatives. At this rate TN would be sold to and ruled by handful of Karuna's relatives only. Karuna is LTTE Prabhkaran in a different mould.
