this column is right about Tamilnadu politics and Karunanidhi, but dead wrong about Raul Maino Gandi. That family has ruined, and is still ruining, India.
None of the mega-scams, including the 2G scam, could have been possible without the active involvement of the "first" family.
Congress & centre should have the guts to have been more hard in meeting Karuna's demand for 9 Ministrial berths, as the Congress is not depending on Karuna's DMK. Atleast now Congress should seek ministiral berth in TN, where DMK is depending on Congress for running their Govt. If congress withdraws then it will be minority govt. at TN. Will congress do atleast now?
By asking 9 ministers ( of which 3 for his family), MK brought disrepute for the whole of TN, every Indian see Tamilian in poor light, In view of the chinna Veedu ( gents can have one official wife and several unofficial one - karuna had 3 wifes ) concept prevailing in TN, no one keeps Tamilian in high esteem - may be at par with Muslim who takes 5 wives ) , Is is true that Kanimozhi has two husbands - one by name Abavanan and another A Raja . It is told that Raja is the confidant of Rajathi ammal and hence he got IT ministry despite his swindling 43000 crores in spectrum, Can any one throw light on this - why Raja is preferred by MK ?
Re: DMK sold their soul, just like many small parties

Are u joking...? DMK goons doesn't have soul and heart. All they possess is dirt and flirt.
This party by itself is a very divisive party. They stood for seperate Tamil country once and wanted to seperate from India. Still Tamil nadu is totally alienated from the main stream just because of this Tamil pride trend this Karuna cro-ok created. They started havig a hatred towards the north and they were asked to love only Tamil etc.
There is no main stream politcian in Tamilnadu and people also generations believe they are different.

That is not true. DMK and MuKa have their own faults, but there is no anti-national feeling in TN. Infact since the 70s there is more anti-tamil feeling in Bombay for e.g. due to Thackarey in no small measure. There is also a little bit of resentment in Karnataka thanks to Vatal Nagaraj and co. MGR and Jaya to a smaller extent have completely reflected the majority of Tamilians desire to be mainstream Indian while retaining Tamil roots- and that is how it is. Even the DMK has in the last 2 decades realised it as reflected in it's role in central govt since VP Singh days. Pride in Tamil is natural so is pride in Bengali for e.g. What is wrong with that? India is too complex a country to have one language, one culture and one religion! And I dare say it is not going to be a casteless or class-less society either. Sooner we learn to live and let live the better. IF people still want to go on and on about Tamils being anti-national it only reflects their petiness and lack of understanding of the matter.
1. By asking for 9 ministries out of the possible 18 seats they won. This is utter rubbish. Did they fight Indian parliament or local municipality elections? 2.By promoting family members, chumchas and pets like Balu,Raja as Azha . Are there no brains in Tamilnadu? 3.Karuna keeps bringing his family fueds into politics. He asked Maran to resign when he was performing well. Poor fellow where he must have kept his head infront of businessmen? India is one Country and it is not Tamilnadu backyard. Grow up ass-an-hole.You are 80 plus now waiting for Yama call!

Oldy karuna has no karuna. He goes to any extent to keep himself in power. He is even ready for a seperate country. He was hiding like a dog under chair until MGR was alive.he only started barking after MGR death.

you are right.. that dog is now barking as no one is there... its frustrating that he is still cheating Yama and Gods!!!Once he dies , there will be fighting among the small dogs .He created a small village by having many wives and children... I am a tamilian who is fully ashamed of that dog....No one is perfect in Tamil Nadu..God has to save us..

By being pro-family and promoting family business at the cost of the state, Karunanidhi is only proving to be trully national neta..he is doing what every other 2foot by 2foot politician does in our country. No offence but go across border you find the same tactics employed by YSR for eg. getting his son and soninlaw to turn decency and law of the land upside down. So is Gowda& co. Let's not even talk about the cinema promoting Deshmukh or further up north. I don't think Muka or TN is that special!

Jayalaitha squandered golden chance in 2006,this barking dog would have been silenced if not for anti people policy adopted by Jayalaitha with BJP.There were lot of strictures in the name of reforms, all sect of people suffered.I dont see anyone near to unsettle this Dog.only Decease can bring some change in Tamilnadu
Rediff is continuously degarding DMK. Frist It said it is Raghul, who shut the doors for DMK... then Rediff said " thanks God this is not Karunanithi's govt" Now Rediff brings B S ragavan...today DMK got 7 births... still rediff will do the damage...why B S Ragavan is more interested in DMK.... what is driving him...

Adei (muttAL) thamizhA! WHo is rediff to degrade DMK? DMK as a party itself is highly anti-social and anti-people ever since Kalaingyar took to the leadership.
When did DMK get 7 "births"? (neengalum unga Eglish-um) lol...We all know Kalaingyar gave "birth" to at least one son/daughter per assembly constituency.
It is not Birth, but Berth in the cabinet..lol
All said and done, DMK is corrupt, wants to play monopoly in everything, and is trying to grab prime spots in the state for the supremo's family. A good example is the grabbing of the huge land space once leased by the Drive-in Woodlands. I believe it is now registered in the name of M.K's daughter. SHAME!

Mr.Radha Venu: This is very simple to explain, If you could explain how the guys who are meant to do only poojas and chant mantras in temples became prime ministers, powerful administrators, and controllers of media. I think it is the same route Karunanidhi took to become where he is now. I am sure you are so Pi**ed off with recent elections. He won it fair and square; ask the EC. Calm down and act mature.

DMK Karuna has committed 3 mistakes!! 1. By asking for 9 ministries out of the possible 18 seats they won. This is utter rubbish. Re: Why rediff always writing about T.N?
by Krish on May 29, 2009 03:24 AM
Yeah the same kind of corruption and family business goes on every where. Nothing unique about TN or it's politicians!
A truck with over 100 cases of Indian Made Foreign liquor was seized from outside BJP leader Rajiv Goyal’s house in the first week of may 2009? Goyal's workers were caught red handed while transferring the liquor to another van. The driver's statement helped cops to seize another truck load of liquor on its way to Surat, Gujarat. Not that Congress or other political parties are clean, but that we have to live with the fact that Politics cannot be completely clean. Leaders promise freebies to people as if they are bearing the cost out of their pocket, poor people does not recognise that the money belongs to them. Freebies would never solve our problems, India need more jobs and opportunities. Our democratic system allows the countrymen to chose the best of the lot. We need to appreciate our election officials for conducting this election by far the best it had done so far. No party has complained of major booth rigging or violence except for the maoist incidents. Respect the voice of our country men and do not take them for granted. Many popular leaders had to bite the dust while many young leaders won with flying colors. India is growing (not talking abt population :) ) and people are getting more educated and aware of their rights.
