UPA sucess
by prabhu pm on May 25, 2009 11:24 PM  | Hide replies

It is funny the for UPA success everybody thinks that they had made people to vote ,1st Rahul thinks he is the only one who converged 90% of votes,MMsingh thinks he converged another 90% ,Mamta thinks she has role in getting 100% vote for upa .The real situation is only because of Recession all these fathers are generated ,people wanted a stable govt to do reforms in that point of view no other than UPA is available now, thats all one thing every body has to thank communist they are the real heros who prevented dumping peoples money into share market and when market collapsed everybody praises MMsingh .But the communist got a nice hit(usually)(Communist can very well stop every thing ) in the back for their action ,so it is foolishness to these success fathers in dream other than doing good reforms ..

DMK over layed its hand
by prabancha RAMASWAMY on May 25, 2009 10:46 PM  | Hide replies

When DMK ask ministy positions in centre because of its support to Congress, in Tamilnadu also its all because of Congress DMK is in power, hence here also it should share the power to congress, like giving deputy CM post to Congress as to the same in Maharashtra, why DMK try to travel only in one way routes, also its a party who tries to corner most of of the ministrial berth to his family members than the elegible party workers who are there for long time, is it a money game to make things happen. Please check what MK had in his pocket in 1970s and what he and his family members has. How they got this wealth, why dont congress check this, Have no guts.....

group within UPA
by poovannan ganapathy on May 25, 2009 10:41 PM  | Hide replies

congress would not have won a single seat if it contested alone.the congress has increased its seats and so too dmk.there is nothing wrong in askingfor more ministries as politics is meant to acheive power and provide justice to its voters.
the dmk should form a gruop with sp/ncp/trinamool/national conference and than they will be in a better position and can demand even two among the main four of home/defence/finance/extl affairs.there is a chance of dy pm too.congress is 205 out of 543 and they still need 68 for croosing 273.the division among the allies is making congress feel as if they will throw the wastages to others and have all the juicy ministries with them.
all sudden congress lovers should remember that upa was the one which introduced reservation in iit/iim and has promised reservation for dalit christians/muslims and affirmative action in pvt sector for sc/st.
if raja has made 60000 crores has being written its a proud moment for dalits as one among them has the capacity to give a tough fight to the ambanis/mittals.

i'm all for a berth for Karunanidhi and his funny clowns like Baalu, etc. My only condition - the berths must be given in ROTTEN HELL for unlimited time. karuna doesn't even have the shame to beg for berths for his family. how can this beggar expect the voters to give berth for each one of this bugger's wife clan?

The family mafia of Karunanidhi
by Sharad on May 25, 2009 09:59 PM

The goondas of the Karuna family (opposite of what his name suggests) have run the entire state aground. It is a state with very well educated people, who are being sidelined by this mafia. Both DMK and AIADMK are goons. They send their party thugs to put down the people. They are totally CORRUPT and rule the state with iron fist. PEOPLE ARE TOO DUMB IN TAMIL NADU to vote for these thugs.

The only thing these A*Holes care is HOW TO USE THESE POSITIONS TO CONSOLIDATE POWER AND MONEY. Only Dhayanidhi Maran is educated and responsible and he did something good for the telecom department. Congress should not give this position to other goonda idiots like Azhagiri (Son of the old fart).

DMK members are shrewd thats why they are surviving in this country...If you dont be stubborn, people will give you in your mouth and go...DMK has all the right to demand whatever they want and congress has all the right to reject...End of the day performance matters...DMK has proved several times they are efficient rulers....

Bad bizness
by Bodh Ramdeo on May 25, 2009 09:37 PM  | Hide replies

Politics in this divided land is more like a war-game, each party trying to outflank and outmaneuver the opponent while at he same same time keeping them within reach, as they're never sure when the tables will turn and they'll need them as an ally.
Cong may not 'need' DMK right now, but if circumstances change- like if some MPs from Cong's coalition partners suddenly see the light and decides to bolt the UPA, Cong wants to make sure it can still count on DMK's support - that's why it hasn't pulled the rug from under the fetid DMK. Besides if they did, then Cong too could find itself in the political wilderness in TN.

Congress ministers are no Saints!
by karuna karan on May 25, 2009 08:30 PM  | Hide replies

The north indian media is trying to over hype on DMK's demands. Is this congress ministers all corruption free? wt abt the defence scandel involving A K Anthony? have everybody forgotten Pranab Mukerjhi's corruption..during previous tenure when he was finance minister?
wt abt veerapa moliy how many times he has been accused on corruption charges?

Congress is the most corrupt party in this country, congress has got no right to comment on DMK.
Rahul gandhi is son of Rajiv gandhi whose corruption in Bofors is well known.

so please guys dont comment on DMK when your own congress party is stinking!

My dear fellow-Indian,
I do not see any mention in this article that Congress is a corrupt-free party and that DMK is a corrupt party.
Everyone in this country, educated or otherwise, knows that most elected members and beaurecrats are corrupt.
This article just listed out a few facts.
That the DMK was trying to re-enact the 2004 drama this time around also is no news.
That the INC called the DMK's bluff was splendid: they deserved it.
And Mr.Karuna going to the media and claiming some media misled him is ridiculous to say the least, as he was in Delhi himself trying to "bargain" things.
I am no admirer of INC or DMK, but DMK, in its quest and greed for power and money, just crossed the "laxman rekha", so to speak.

Anthony resigned the moment would be plotting scoundrels tried to stick the scandal on him. For that he earned the respect of Indira Gandhi. That has been passed down the family. Why do you think he his heading the biggest budget department.Media is media. Nothing to do with the poles. Karu Nakuran should think out of the theravida black hole and see the bigger picture.
