Now, Sinhala Nazis planning massacres in the Tamil refugee camps
by Chris on May 24, 2009 02:20 PM

COLOMBO (AFP) – Sri Lanka said Sunday it would not allow UN aid workers complete access to civilians who remain in camps after the defeat of the Tamil Tigers until rebels hiding among the refugees had been weeded out.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, on a visit to one camp housing 200,000 Tamils, had called for his staff to be given "unhindered access" to those displaced in the decades-long war that ended a week ago.

Ban, who toured the Menik Farm facility on Saturday, described the conditions as overcrowded and the detained civilians as "badly in need of food, water and sanitation".

The government responded to his appeal for aid agencies to be permitted to help by saying that "as conditions improved, especially with regard to security, there would be no objections to such assistance".

President Mahinda Rajapakse's statement warned of "the likely presence of Tamil Tiger infiltrators among the large numbers who had come to the government areas".

The government describes the camps as "welfare villages" and says it wants to resettle all displaced civilians as soon as possible, but Tamil activists say they are "concentration camps" with inmates penned in behind barbed wire.
-------------------------------------
It looks like the Sinhala Nazis are still not allowing aid and freedom to the refugees, because they plan a witch-hunt for 'rebels' in the refugee camps, & massacre of such 'rebels'. Time for the World to act to prevent the genocide

Clean up Congress
by Water on May 24, 2009 01:53 PM  | Hide replies

Congress gain this time. I am voting congress only because there is no alternative. I am not happy with Congress because what they are projecting in reality they are not that one. Congress should come up with clean image and they must clean up,lot of criminals also in the party. As per the survey 42 criminals in BJP & 41 Criminals in Congress contested in MP election this year. If these criminals are in the party either BJP or Congress how the parties can become clean. Congress party making much noice only ie : why not saachar committee report implemented, why there is much noice about minority appeasment and minorities not getting any benefit , where is the quotas or reservation for minorities , only on papers and news ? If the govt. not able to give this why propoganda ? Only to get their votes and to show majority that they are treating minorities very nicely. Majority community thinking that minorities getting every thing from this govt. but in reality they are not getting any thing only promises from govt. If there is another strong Secular party, I am sure I will never vote to congress. Congress should come up with clean image and should take the country towards development not only filling their own pockets which is happening today.

Then why you did not vote for CPI (M)? Is there any party more Secular than CPI (M) in India? The Congis have been f00ling the minorities for the past 60 years. Still you have not understood their double standards.

Why BJP Lost
by Ram on May 24, 2009 01:19 PM  | Hide replies

Reasons for BJP’s debacle in the elections:
1.      Did not address the real issues. Failed to emphasize the issue of steep price rise during the election year, which effected the common man very much. This should have been a rallying point and a powerful weapon
2.      Pursued dead issues like the Mandir issue
3.      Top heavy
4.      Lacks in the active participation of the youth. Cadre is over crowded with strategists rather than workmen. Not enough young field workers
5.      Intense in-fighting (Rajnath-Jaitly, Opposition to Advani)
6.      RSS cadre is full of old-guards, who worked hard and with commitment to canvas in the earlier elections when they were young and active. They did not initiate/enroll their children into the organization. Instead they allowed their youth to pursue business or other suitable profession. Now RSS lacks in enough young blood
7.      Over estimation of their capabilities in states like Orissa. This resulted in the break-up of NDA.
8.      False propaganda by pseudo-secularists and the English Print and Electronic Media
9.      Over-all degradation of cultural values in the youth and in the-common-public in general. Allurements of Westernization.
10.      En-block support to the Congress by the Christians and the Muslims

Remedial Measures to be taken-up by BJP in the next 5-years to regain glory and Power: IT IS A MAMMOTH TASK THATCALLS FOR ENORMOUS COMMITMENT AND SACRIFICE. NO EASY WAYS AND SHORT CUTS
1.      Recruit youth in large numbers BJP, VHP and RSS
2.      Lessen the emphasis on the Mandir issue, while still maintaining the GUARDIAN role for the Sanatan Dharma
3.      ADDRESS SOCIETY’S PROBLEMS WITH MORE INVOLVEMENTS. ENTER SLUMS IN A LARGE WAY AND EMBRACE THE POVERTY STRICKEN HINDUS AND SAVE THEM FALLING PREY TO FALSE PROPAGANDA AND CONVERSIONS. Start reverse conversions in a big way
4.      Lured by the Western Culture Majority of the young generation are straying-off from the Sanatan Dharma. Protect them from the allurements.
5.      Implement large scale social service programs, which is main feature of the Indian ‘Sanatan Dharma’ the most ancient culture on the planet.
6.       Build Primary and Secondary schools and colleges all-over India and run them by the followers of the Sanatan Dhrma
7.      Start Orphanages, and widow rehabilitation centers all over India
Besides the above exhibit astute political awareness and remain abreast with developments

by sudhir suri on May 24, 2009 01:15 PM

Besides very many problems ,India has a stable democracy ,growing economy ,with high growth rate and internal demand. We should look upon our selves as natural leader with aim of not territorial gains but as a leader in alleviating poverty and misery . Our foreign policy should be based on this concept.

Fella, why this view? If it has to be something like this try to convince yourself to believe this:

MR S M Krishna = Manmohan Rahul Sonia Manmohan Krishna! Manmohan twice. Get the drift? Stop the childishness.
