BJP should think seriously all Educated people and young middle class voted against BJP why.
New Delhi is the biggest example where 99% Voters are of educated class, then why BJP, not able to won a single seat totally washed out in Delhi.

Both BJP and Congress are communal . Congress appeases minorities, while BJP is openly in favour of the majority community . You Indians should have given a chance to CPI(M) .Communism is a wondeful ideology when implemented well, like we Chinese are doing .
CPI(M) should have managed their affairs better . Then they would not have lost so heavily . They are not over yet . Karat and Co. should regroup and make stronger alliances .

THe only place where communism survived is in china...that to after supporting reforms and capitalism in the late 70s...in all of the rest of the world ...it is a big failure. Ask Karat and co to practice a modern form of communism like China...and not oppose nuke deals, computerisation (in which chinese are the forefront runners...how did your karat and co...dint learn this from their masters?????)...

Dear Ashwin,

You know very well the factors Cong won. BJP does not exist in all the 5/6 states where Cong has got everything. Bengal, Tamilnadu Andhra brilliant seat sharing.

Why blame it to loss of support of educated class???????

Suresh,My dear friends, It is not a time for debating BJP or Congress. Both the parties have their own agendas for the goodwill of India. Mandate is passed by Indian people as a whole. We have to accept this. Dr. Singh is selecting very good team and is trying hard to meet the Indians expectations. Let's wish him good luck.

dont paint a picture of victim or as though you are living in a country of taliban or afghanistan... you have enough freedom and resources to have a computer and type these crap in a forum...which our neighbours never had or will have. Remember this is all due to moderate govts of Congress and including BJP when Vajpayee ruled... All your theory or churches and jehadi conspiracy is effectively answered by 600 million people's vote.

Looks like you need a basic tuition in political science.

Rajya Sabha is not called upper house for nothing. And it is not for nothing that it has 1/3 of nominated members and is a permanent house. Add to it, members have 6 years term unlike Lok Sabha, the lower house.

Indian is a Westminster style democracy and members of upper house are deemed to be better qualified to run the affairs of the government but put in place to act as checks and balances to the acts of lower house which only comprises elected members who come from all walks of life, across different spectrum of education, experience and criminal backgrounds of late.

The point I am making here is, the more administrators from Rajya Sabha, the better it is for India.

That is ok ..

If you want to appoint so called elected leaders you will be left with Mayawatis & Lallus only.

Blame the people who are electing all useless people just because they belong to caste/religion.

Running Govt is a different ball game.

One or the other way all these comments apply to all of us. Because we are also involved in selection process. So let's not stab back each other. Just make good suggestions if any for betterment of the decisions.

It is heartening to note that Indians still have stupid sentiments. A state CM who was pulled up by SC because he expressed his inability to maintain law and order! He is a guy not elected by the voters but hand picked by the dynasty boss for whom he is a domestic pet d.o.g!!! There are many more who ogt ministerial berths!!! India cannot survive!!!
