A generally good analysis though it is difficult to project it to 2014.
However, unless BJP comes up with a truly national leader like Vajpayee, and to an extent Advani, it will see itself sliding in 2014. The Congress has several people who now fit the bill.

I think u need to come out of myth that Sonia is not Indian....perhaps she has made more sacrifies then you and me would make to fit the bill of Indian Bahu and Indian political leader of massess...ask your mom...she would confirm!

The urbun middle class voters voted to Manmohan and people in states lik AP and Rajastan voted to congress becos of local CM's. IN UP muslims shifted to Congress due to Varun and kalyan singh joining SP. Sonia and Rahul campaigned for elections in 16 states in last 5 years where congress lost elections. Sycophant congress leaderss and media gives credit to them when congress wins but dont say a word when congress looses. slaves....
Like Rahul Gandhi , his father was also hyped when he enterd in poltics and became PM in 1984. He was projected by the state controlled media and his doon school and college friends (journalists) as Mr clean, Secualr etc etc. What follwed next is history. Secualrism - His secualr crdential got a big dent as his entry into parliament was on the dead bodies of sikh riot victims - He justified that by saying -When a big tree falls, earh shakens. He then tried to apeease muslims in Shahbano case and then tried to appease Hindus by opening the babri masjid temple and dooing pooja. He is the creator of babri masjid demoliton agitataion. Plotical novice- Like rahul, rajiv gandhi was poltical novice and in next 2-3 years he was sourrounded by coitre who were misguisdidng him. His Srilankan venture costed his life. Mr clean - Finally the bofors controversy made him mr dirty and his image was all ruined by his wife and her friends. It took 20 years for them to sabotage CBI and get rulling. So Rahul Gandhi will have same fate. To rule a diverse country like India one need exeprince like Indira Ganhi, Narashima Rao and Vajpayee all were from grassroot. Next 6 months there are elctions in Jharkhand. A litmus test for the popularity of this govt.

Elections in Jharkand dont matter at all. How can it be a Litmus test. It was the general elections which was the litmus test which the UPA passed with flying colors
no doubt that rahul has worked hard to reorganise the congi party and bring in new faces.now he should try to bring real democracy in the party and not let it remain a party for gandhi sycophants.the media played dirty by potraying 90percent time to what rahul sonia and priyanka had to say.
nothing much more than an imagination persay. the gullible media and sycophant idiots potray an plausible picture only. the truth of the matter is that there are many more individuals who are either not highlighted or choose to remain insignificant because of both the above reasons. dont doubt rahul but just dont propel him because of his namesake. we want to know of other individuals who are driving the country from bottom up. dont tell me they dont exist.
